Went here for a weekday lunch during the workday. Decent place for lunch. Queso was good, but thin. Chips and salsa were good – had nice spice. Fajitas were good – would order again, though the beans had an off-putting flavor in my opinion. Birria tacos were decent – beef was very tender, though the tortillas weren’t fried crispy. The waiter said they got complaints about them being too crispy, so I think they just overcorrected a bit. Sounds like they expect their liquor license in a couple weeks.

Worth trying out if you’re in the area.

I stopped in at Bikina to pick up dinner on the way home from work, it was a new restaurant I had not tried before and was curious as I’m a fan of several other local mexican options.

Food:
The cost was quite high for the quality of what was received. I ordered two Entrees- A chicken dish, and a steak torta, along with a small side of queso.
In total, my order came out to around $50. The portion size for the chicken was quite small, amounting to essentially two unbreaded chicken tenders and about 5 shrimp with some rice and beans. The chicken was extremely dry and tough, the beans were unspiced and tasted like what one would expect from a can, and the rice was equally unseasoned.

The Torta had very little meat, was mostly bread, and what meat was there was fairly low quality and full of gristle. Seasoning was once again fairly absent, the only real flavor coming from the jalapenos in the sandwich, and while portion size was better with the torta than the chicken overall, a large portion of that was bread of the sandwich.

The Queso was about average queso blanco. Not anything special but not terrible, and with the quality of the rest of the meal, was the highlight.
Overall, very disappointing.

Service:

The costs for what I received was quite high, especially considering other options in the area, and I was not told about a ‘Carry out fee’ that was added to my total without mention. While the fee was not much, it still feels supremely dishonest to charge someone an additional fee to get the food they are already paying for, and to not disclose that fee upfront.

Atmosphere:
The restaurant was mostly empty when I arrived with the exception of several staff members sitting at a table front and center, laughing and drinking beer. One of them ran behind the counter a few times to refill beers and drinks for the others, but it gave the impression of a group of owners/managers who want a restaurant more as a personal hangout than to actually serve good food or value to customers. They were loud, the music was loud, and all I wanted to do was get my food and go.
While the mural on the wall was a nice piece of art, the rest of the shop was small and somewhat sparse, not well situated for dine-in, and especially not for an atmosphere as loud as it was.

All in all, I feel somewhat ripped off, I received one near unedible meal and one that, while it was eaten, was of such low quality that I would have rather put that money towards a fast food burger and likely would have felt better about it. I was charged undisclosed fees and am out $50 for an overall disappointing experience, and on top of that still had to make dinner for the wife at home as a replacement for the meal that was inedible.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a wonderful family restaurant, and I can’t recommend it enough! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place for a family gathering. The menu offered a fantastic variety of dishes that catered to all tastes, and everything we ordered was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that our experience was enjoyable from start to finish. It’s a great spot for creating lasting memories with loved ones over a hearty meal. Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner or a special occasion, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

Great food and friendly staff! The restaurant is clean and comfortable with a modern aesthetic. I ordered a shrimp taco and chorizo burrito – both were well-portioned and packed plenty of flavor even without involving any additional salsas. They do include chips and a variety of salsas with your order, which is always a nice touch.

As of writing this, they’ve just opened very recently. Looking forward to coming back!

Needed a quick bite to eat so stopped in for a few tacos (pastor and chicken). Both were excellent and we’ve been to quite a few authentic taco places around Atlanta. Salsa was very good as well. Will go back when in the area again.

The food we just got was so bland compared to other Mexican food in the area. It tastes like they used as little seasoning as possible and my chicken was like rubber with gristle attached to it. My fiance ordered the queso and it tastes like just plain cheese and salt. Highly disappointed.

Ordered an enchilada, rice and beans. Waited 20min for that to be ready while i was the only person in the restaurant. Sadly i did not try the food due to time constraints. The attendee did provide time estimates. Just expect food to take awhile. I would not be ordering to go again.

Update: i ate the food and it was decent. 4 stars for food. Overall time service is slow.

What’s with this place? It’s the only restaurant I’ve ever been to that closes it doors, arbitrarily, when the hours of operation indicate the restaurant should be open. For the care and convenience of your customers, either, remain open as advertised or, post the correct days and times when your restaurant is closed.

Just ate here for the first time. Food was great. Would have gotten 5 stars, but they did not honor the $11.99 for the Bikina salad posted on their daily special sign outside, even after I asked about it.

Nice place, good service. Tacos were good but the esquite was cold with shredded yellow cheese instead of warm with cotija.
