This is almost like being in Mexico! Very authentic food! The wait staff is very kind. They make sure they know how hot you like the food. This is a little “hole in the wall” place. Definitely worth trying if you are hungry for authentic Mexican food. It is fairly reasonable cost wise. As far as the atmosphere, it’s one large open area with tables. No booths. Hard to have a private conversation, great if you don’t mind the loudness, which goes with authenticity I suppose! The service is quick and very friendly. Food is hot and made fresh. Appreciate the time that we stop
In for take out also. They have 1 chair there for you to wait for your order. They are fairly quick for take out. About 10-12 min for 3 entrees at 12:30pm on a week day. They were busy at that time also. They seem to always have at least 1/2 full whenever we stop in! Usually if there are people there – It’s a winner of a place!
Stop on by Taqueria Jalisco for some great tasting authentic Mexican food!

Great authentic Mexican dishes. The tacos were fantastic. The free fried chicharrones were delicious. I will def be back and recommend checking it out. With all the choices for Mexican restaurants in Clarksville it’s hard to decide on one. This is for sure is one you should put on your list.

I’m from Michoacán and I just recently moved here from California I was driving around and found this vibrant taqueria. This small gem hits home, their Mexican food is 100% authentic, full of flavors, this place didn’t disappoint! Reminded me of the Mexican taquerias in LA county and OC county family owned and family passed down Mexican food traditions and recipes! My family back home has a carnitas and chicharrón spot and this place reminded me of home, highly recommend this little gem! I thanked the staff, the food and service was great! I’ll definitely be back

I came on recommendation of a friend whose favorite Mexican restaurant in town is this one. My food was great and my friend liked hers too, we also loved the painted wall on the side. This is a beautiful building and it was doing a brisk dinnertime business on a Thursday night.

Been coming here for over a year now. They don’t miss. The staff is always kind, their food is great, and prices are decent. I highly recommend their guacamole (the freshest I’ve had in town), alongside their chilaquiles, tacos de birria and aguas frescas. ♥️

This place is super delicious!! We end up going here like once a week. My daughter loves the birria queso tacos. I like everything I’ve ordered from here…tacos, quesadillas, tamales, burritos, and even the soup.

Unpretentious and Unmistakably Authentic

There’s something about this place that just feels right the moment you step through the door. It’s not trying to be trendy or reinvent the wheel—it’s simply and confidently rooted in real-deal Mexican cooking. From the warm greeting at the counter to the rhythmic sizzle coming from the kitchen, everything about the atmosphere tells you they care more about flavor than flash.

You won’t find shortcuts here. The ingredients taste fresh, and the spices are layered in a way that suggests family recipes, not food court convenience. There’s an honesty in how it’s prepared—nothing overdone, nothing showy, just the kind of food that speaks for itself.

It’s the kind of spot where the salsa tastes like someone’s abuela makes it at home, and where every bite, no matter what you order, feels like a memory in the making. This place knows who it is—and that kind of authenticity is hard to fake.

I was disappointed. My server was excellent! The food left a lot to be desired. The empanadas were too doughy and filled with little non seasoned meat. I was so disappointed. I want to return and give a second chance. I’m afraid anything else will be just as horrible.

This place was fantastic, the snack plate is like nothing I’ve ever had. The snack plate comes with beer, seasoning, chips and shrimp, very unique. The food is about authentic as it comes and you can feed a group of 8 for less than $75. The staff there makes the visit very enjoyable as they will joke and carry on with you, it’s a small place but again I highly recommend. I will visit this place time and time again. My wife and I visited again for lunch, the food was phenomenal. The food was authentic and the service was fast.
