I was on Staples looking for a place to have a late lunch. I spotted Jalisco #12 and decided that is the place. I found a table by the window and the waiter arrived. I ordered ice water and went to restroom to wash my hands. The restroom was very clean and smelled nice. I ordered the picadillo plate with rice and beans. The food arrived very hot which I like. The flour tortillas that came with the lunch reminded me of the old days. The total for my lunch was $7.85. I probably shouldn’t advertise the price as it might go up. Best picadillo I have ever eaten

I ride the bus to work every morning and get dropped off here which is right across the street. I walk in, they take my daily breakfast taco order immediately and know that I want my cheese on the bottom of my tortilla not the top! They also know I want 1 green and 1 red salsa. I love the daily quote they have on the eraser board! So friendly and so impressive they know my order preferences and respect my need to get to work on foot from there.

This specific location is my favorite weekend spot because of their carnitas. I love getting the carnitas tacos or the plate from here cause they’re very delicious. I stumbled across the carnitas having a post work breakfast with a coworker and have been hooked since. However I will advise that the carnitas are a WEEKEND ONLY option(I found that out the hard way lol)

If ever in Corpus you must try this Mexican Restaurant it is very authentic we stopped in as we traveled from Houston. The Restaurant is very clean, wait staff was friendly and attentive I never had to ask for refill on my coffee she was on it. We spent roughly $25-30 we had Chilaquiles Verdes with fajita. This will be our go to when we come back and visit.
