What an experience! This establishment is slightly out of the way but worth the drive. Very clean and the staff is not only friendly and knowledgeable but also very efficient. When we arrived, we became concerned due to overcrowding but upon entering the establishment, were very pleased with the very spacious setting. They missed the five star mark because the steak was slightly over cooked. It is obvious that management at this restaurant takes pride in every facet of operations.

Ok so this place is personally my favorite Mexican restaurant !!! They have great Barbacoa!!! The Texas plate is by far my #1 plate of all time rn !! This place has showed me that they care about their customers and the food they make! they have a top of the line kitchen & equipment!! something you’d see in a high-end restaurant for sure!! See they didn’t start off like that they started off in a way smaller building and over time the owner took the proceeds and invested it right back into the business making it 10x better!! (unlike the rest) Inside is great there’s a bar they have TV’s playing it’s always clean !! I see a lot of businesses that been here so long but never do anything in comparison to make the customer’s experience better the way Guadalajara’s has !! These businesses run there buildings to the ground been here 30+ years and never even poured a penny into the building or kitchen or anything sometimes you go and the ac is out just terrible!! They Care about the money and that’s it! None of these restaurants care more about the customer then Guadalajara’s! And guess what??? I’ma say it their carne Guisada is way better then Hi Ho’s!!! Literally!! The Texas plate is smoking anything from there you must try for yourself I highly recommend!!! They also offer fresh made chips when you dine in that are great!! Salsa is good, green sauce is excellent !! They have great daily specials for $5.99 aswell.This place is definitely the best in Calallen !! The cleanest !! I won’t go anywhere else for my !!

Just had lunch there with my family. 3 out of the 4 plates ordered came out WRONG. My chicken fajita was cold not lukewarm BUT cold. Asked to have it warmed up came bk half warm n half cold. Asked how they warmed it up waitress mentioned it was warmed up in microwave she did offer to return it another time but truthfully it should have been done right the first time (slow inside not busy) n then the second time so I passed on the 3rd attempt to get my chicken warmed up. Hubby asked for no veggies or sour cream n the amount that came out with his plate looked it they double up on both that was NOT what he wanted.

This place ROCKED!!! This T-bone was so soft I didn’t even need the knife. Chips and salsa were on point! Service was excellent!! Definitely need to try. Prices were great! This plate was $10.99 We will be back!!
