I have seen a couple bad reviews and I will say they are absolutely false. These people are friendly and quick. The salsa is the best around. Somehow they call me by name although I have never introduced myself. The people who frequent ElRancho are friendly and polite. I love this place. Great Menudo.

By far the best taco shop in San Marcos, TX. I have been going to this place for over 8 years and the tacos have always been the same, (DELICIOUS). Fair prices and they’re decently sized. Given the fact I’ve been going so long I’ve seen front staff come and go, but always polite and friendly 🙂 Definitely recommend stopping in!

CASH ONLY. SPANISH SPEAKING ONLY. The staff has a dry none inviting personality. That alone is reason enough to keep my cash and take my debit card elsewhere. Breakfast tacos start at $1.50 extras are an additional fee, of course. However, you’re not getting extra. I’ve paid for extra before and received nothing in return. Tacos are thin, they take it very easy on the food. Complaints are not tollerated and will be dismissed. Tipping will not make a difference. Call in orders will not be ready on time, and the wait can be long during peak hours. Best I can say about this corner taco stand, is that they make fresh homemade tortillas.
