The only chipotle worth going to is west Chester at this point.
This new location is starting off on a weirdly wrong foot. I’ve had more than a few “weird” meals here. Including employees having really personal conversations loudly to each other, employees only rudely saying “NAME.” when someone comes in to pickup an order, a small child with no shoes on strapped to a dining chair watching a loud iPad while his caretaker worked the drive through window, the juices and lemonades never being filled, only spoons in the fork cups and no forks to be seen, it’s a bit odd.
Finding good people to do good work can be difficult and after reading other reviews this is definitely a management and hiring issue that corporate could probably give two hoots about.
I know I frequent this place typically anywhere from 7:30-9:30pm so I don’t expect top notch service at that hour, but something better than what they’re doing right now would be great.
They could learn a thing or two from the crew out in Exton. That location is really good.
One of the workers was struggling to wrap the guys burrito in front of me, so another person hopped in to do my order. They rushed the order and then the workers got confused over whose order was who’s. There was another lady in front of the guy in front of me who wasn’t even finished ordering. The people behind me got like 5+ bowls. Workers seemed very unorganized and all over the place. The worker at the register was told something about the order behind mine about charging extra. I ended up getting charged for extra meat when i didn’t get extra meat. Customer service did give me a coupon but I had to call them back because the coupon they promised me didn’t show up in my email until 30+ minutes later! Very ridiculous.
My biggest grief with this location is that when my wife & I go over to fountain drink dispenser, there is a young man setting & leaning all over one of the tables who appeared to be totally passed out or asleep.
Sounds of ice dispenser and customers walking around didn’t affect this person at all. At a closer look, this young man was an employee, I’m assuming he was off duty, but yet sprawled out across the table totally out!
Every customer who came in while my wife & I were dining inside noticed and looked at this employee.
One would think maybe this employee got off duty and is awaiting a ride, but one would think sleeping across the table while waiting, isn’t the right thing to do.
I was about to go up to counter and say something to employees since this young man was sleeping at an area out of site from counter.
But prior to getting up, one of the employees from the counter came over to get a drink and noticed this situation. But yet didn’t say anything to the sleeping employee.
My wife overheard the counter employee tell one of the customers asking about the sleeping young man, yeah….today was that employee’s first day on the job!
After witnessing this and seeing no staff address the issue, not sure we’ll be returning any time soon when employees are permitted to just sleep across the tables, it’s really not a good impression to put upon your customers!!
The food was already packed up, nothing was being served, and it was obvious the staff had mentally checked out for the night. As both couples decided to leave, we were hit with a rude, condescending “Have a great night” and smirks from the crew—just to drive the message home that we weren’t welcome.
This isn’t the first time this has happened at this location. We’ve come in well before closing on other occasions, only to find everything already cleaned up: no drinks refilled, chips empty, and employees who clearly don’t care to serve customers past a certain hour—even if it’s still open.
If this store isn’t going to honor their posted hours, then they should update them—or better yet, train their staff to treat every customer with basic respect until the actual closing time.
