The owners are very rude; you can’t complain about being overcharged because they get angry. Please ask for your bill before paying so you know exactly what you’re being charged for.

We have been eating here since it was La Bamba (which is what we still call it lol) for 14 years. My husband found this sweet little place right after we moved from New Mexico to Gastonia. We love Ruth and her family and the tacos are the best EVER!

I ordered takeout and honestly it was a total disappointment. The carne asada taco tasted like old grease, as if the meat had been sitting around for far too long. The chorizo taco arrived burnt, dry, and completely flavorless… a total waste. And the carnitas taco was the worst of all: it had a tallow-like, rancid greasy taste that couldn’t be hidden even with sauces.

To make matters worse, everything gave the impression of poor food handling and low hygiene in the kitchen. If this is what they normally offer, I don’t understand how this place is still in business. I’m not coming back, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

Ok, so my first time here. I told the server for no onions on my taco and no sour cream on my sope, since I’m lactose free. It seemed like she didn’t care, and whe I get my food. My taco has onions and the sope had sour cream. I didn’t return the food but I really wanted too, I just don’t like to be like that specially about food. So I tried to take out the onions by myself. They should work on their costumer service more.

This place gave us a venue after my grandson’s funeral. I love this place. It was accommodating, spacious and exclusively ours at that time. Thank you so much.
