I have never been here before and I wanted to try it our because I go to school nearby! Walking in, it felt very clean. I was greeted immediately by the kind woman at the counter, who was then pushed away to the side by a shorter woman. She took my order quickly, it felt very rushed, I just got the Original because I felt like she was very impatient waiting for me to decide what I wanted. I was waived aside for the next customer, the whole interaction felt so rude. As I was waiting for the food, the shorter woman, who I found out was the manager, was yelling at her workers in the back! I received my food quickly, it was fine. I felt so bad for the poor workers who have to work under that management! I enjoyed the food but I’m NOT coming back. I will not support an establishment that treats their workers like that. You’re better off going to another location if you want Cafe Yumm.

A place that I’ve been going to for years and always know will serve delicious and high quality food. Staff are friendly and there is always enough seating, however I feel every time I come back to eat here the prices become more and more expensive, which has been making me not go as much anymore. Food is great as always, however portions still remain the same size and prices just keep going up every time.

Food was flavorful. Service was cafeteria/fast-food style. We were given a device that alerted us when our order was ready. Nice sized restaurant. It was pretty empty when we arrived. Saturday in downtown Portland during the summer is very different than I remember it years ago.

Don’t get the quesadilla. The photo looks fine, but these looks are VERY decieving.
Think of your first attempt at a quesadilla: hardly melted, thick, cheddar cheese. There’s this weird off-putting, oily taste. Theres no salt or spices, just overwhelming bad cheddar cheese that ruins everything.
First bite, I immediately got that taste. Awful quesadilla. And for $12?!?! The “chunky subs” food cart on 4th Ave has much a better and bigger quesadilla for almost half the price.
Also, the bowls are just rice and beans with a little bit of added cheese, meat, and overpriced toppings… Nothing that justifies the price .
