We had an impromptu birthday party here. We were seated immediately, offered beverages while we waited on our party, and orders were taken immediately when everyone arrived.
The birria is really good and the loaded nachos looked yummy also.
Prices are affordable. $8-$15/person
We were told to call ahead next time we have a party, and that they would get out table area ready for us.

This is a great restaurant for authentic Mexican cuisine. El Paisano offers a trove of traditional dishes that will tantalize your taste buds.
I had the Carne Asada street tacos, and they were perfection The steak was flavorful, tender, and juicy topped with fresh cilantro and onions served with lime, radishes, and the most delicious grilled onions. (Seriously, so good!)
The guacamole and salsa were both appetizing as well.
The service was fast and friendly.
I’ll definitely be back!

This location is the most authentic Mexican restaurant in the area that I’ve tried. I was first taken here by some of my Hispanic co-workers that raved about it and have been several times since. They were initially a restaurant on the left and a convenience store on the right, but have remodelled and now have an insurance building on the left and the restaurant on the right.
I originally got the tortas, but since they switched the restaurant to the other side, they’re not exactly the same – still good especially with extra fresh mozzarella, but I can’t place exactly what’s different. They also sell horchata (a cinnamon rice milk drink)! Lately, we’ve been obsessed with their birria tacos given by server recommendation, which caused us to visit many days in a row after the first time trying them.

I have heard about this place for years, as people have told me it is the most “authentic” Mexican food in Florence. However, for some reason, we had never tried it until today. We ordered some food to-go. We ordered the birria tacos, rice and beans, and cheese dip. The lady who answered was very polite, 10 to 15 minute pick up time. Upon arrival, the restaurant was very clean, it smelled fresh and of great food. The food was ready when I arrived. The birria tacos were definitely up there with some of the best I have ever had and probably some of the best if not best in the Shoals area. We will definitely come back for the birria and also try some more dishes!

I’ve had a lot of authentic Hispanic foods in many states but their food is by far the best I’ve eaten in a long time. Everything was fresh and homemade from the salsa to the entrees. It’s a quiet atmosphere but very welcome and service is tailored to the customer’s needs and satisfaction! I wish that I had taken pictures of the food but I was too caught up in eating! Much love to this restaurant ❤️
