We love the Taqueria food truck on Grand Caillou and came give the actual restaurant a try! Same great food and awesome staff! The restraunt is super cute inside as well. Would recommend the quesabirria, flaming hot burrito, and southwest salad!

I’ve been to this taqueria multiple times at this point, and my belly is always happy when I leave there. The food is absolutely top notch, and their customer service is the absolute best in Houma and Thibodaux. They’re always smiling and happy to help me when I can’t decide what I want.
My favorite thing is their steak torta. I’ve had many tortas over the years. I’ve even had them when I visited Mexico. Taqueria El Mundo has the best steak torta I’ve ever had in my life. I don’t even want roast beef poboys anymore, and I’m a Cajun. This is the most flavorful sandwich I’ve ever had. I’ve traveled out of the country and to 47 states out of 50 in my own country, and this is the best sandwich I’ve never had the pleasure of eating. Highly recommend. It takes up almost the entire to go container so you definitely get your money’s worth.

If zero stars happened to be an option this would be a top contender. To come into this resteraunt everything appeared esthetically pleasing, however the counter service was horrible. A girl in her mid 20s with an attitude problem served us, we ordered one combo since me and my wife are both on appetite suppressants and to have to explain this is absolutely freaking fruit loops; what’s crazier is to charge 1.50 for a cup of ice /tap water on a hot day is absolutely disgusting. Never coming here again.

I am beyond disgusted by what I witnessed from one of the female employees here. Her behavior was absolutely wild, loud, aggressive, and completely out of control. She yelled, escalated the situation, and acted in a way that made everyone around her uncomfortable and unsafe. This wasn’t just unprofessional, it was shocking and humiliating for a business to allow.
What makes this even worse is that the other young lady involved clearly did not expect any altercation. The young lady I spoke to was extremely open, self-aware, and a minor, completely caught off guard and with no idea that a fight would happen. She did not raise her voice or act aggressively in any way until she was attacked. Meanwhile, the adult employee initiated physical contact, got in her face, shouted insults, and slapped her. One adult’s complete and unacceptable lack of self-control turned what should have been a minor verbal disagreement into a disgraceful, chaotic scene.
As someone representing a business, she had a responsibility to remain professional, especially in front of patrons yet she showed nothing but reckless aggression. If this is the type of employee your business allows to represent it, that speaks volumes about your management choices and not in a good way. No customer should ever have to witness behavior like this, and no business should tolerate an adult employee with zero self-control attacking a minor. Management needs to take immediate action. This employee should be terminated or removed immediately.

Very clean establishment, good service and the Pizza Birria is soooooo good. Had nachos, as well and they were good, too. Prices are very reasonable!

It’s like getting the street food or food truck experience but with air conditioning. So far I have only tried the tacos but I was very impressed at how delicious they were. The birria and steak ones were better than the chicken so I’ll stick with those the next time. The chicken was somewhat dry despite the sauce and seasoning, but still has a great flavor. The chicken was actually better tasting in my little girls burrito than it was in the taco (probably because the tortilla seals in the juices).
The salsas are really good too. They taste homemade and are super flavorful. The red one is fairly spicy and the green one is nice and mild.
My wife got the shrimp bayou tacos which are new (as of writing). The fried shrimp are huge! She mentioned the tacos were ok, but the shrimp were really tasty. I tried a shrimp and definitely agree. Very well seasoned and fried.
My little girl got a chicken burrito and some fries. The burrito was pretty good. But the fries were the star of her plate. They have what I think is an oregano seasoning on them and are pretty unique. She gobbled them up!

Not quite what I expected when I see the word “Taqueria” but I did have a great meal. I order the alambres which was meat meat if your choice served with peppers, onions and melted cheese. Come with 6 corn tortillas and some great salsa. There is a lot of food in this plate. Even after I made 6 tacos, there was a ton of meat still left. Staff was pretty friendly and I like that are open till 10:00. Gonna try a burrito next time.

I waited outside for over an hour for them to open to try this restaurant- and OMG! I went to BED last night thinking about their food. I wish I was lying- it kept me up. Safe to say I’ll be back today as soon as they open and bringing my husband! The sweet woman at the front counter helped me pick out something because it all sounded delicious. The prices were phenomenal for all you get. I’ve spent more at fast food & of course their quality isn’t nearly as great. Go and try it- you won’t be disappointed.

Very friendly staff, the freska drinks with berries in it was refreshing and very large (no refills needed). The freska must be at least 40 oz.
They have a big menu so it’s a little difficult to decide. The translation for some menu items don’t make sense, like a bad Google translation job. Thankfully our waitress was helpful in explaining what some items actually were.
We had a great visit. I’ve definitely slept on this place longer than I ever should have.
