Taqueria El Gallo de Jalisco

Came here on recommendation of the lady at the Dorothy House museum. It was okay. I mean, the service was great (granted, I was the only one there) and the food came out quickly. The waitress/counter person was extremely friendly and accommodating.

The interior was clean, which I appreciate, but bordering on gaudy-chic. But, this wasn’t a fine dining establishment and I wasn’t on a date, so, no big deal.

The food wasn’t bad, but it didn’t knock my socks off either. When I say that, please consider that I have lived in Texas, AZ and CO; and have been to both NM and old Mexico multiple times. So, I’m pretty picky about Mexican food.

I may, or may not, return here if Im back in the area.

The menudo and the gorditas were good, although I had never seen those gorditas before, I don’t know where they’re from. They have music, but the atmosphere is calm.

I was all for it, until I saw roaches crawling on the wall behind their cooler full of condiments and that ruined it for me. I couldn’t even eat the food I had already ordered to go.

Very good food and delicious tacos. I was in Liberal, Kansas for the first time recently, and hadn’t any idea where to find good Mexican food. I decided to try Taquería El Gallo de Jalisco after going to several other places. The food was great. Definitely more authentic, compared to the other Mexican restaurants that I went to in Liberal.

The food was prepared well with good flavor. I especially recommend their tacos. But the enchiladas and agua frescos are good too. As is their salsa rojo(red). The waitress provided good attentive service.

I am a Super Taco Expert. This place has some of the most delicious tacos I have had. Inside and out, food and cafe authentic Mexican, to include no English. Get 4 meat tacos, 2 modelo especials and you are in Heaven. A must stop. Don’t let the decor deter you get the food, beer and sit back for a little Latina Stops Opera on the TV…Pricless

The food is very good but the service is not good at all. We had a couple orders one of the orders we had to remind them 4 times that one of our orders wasn’t here. The others where all done eating until we told them again we still needed the order finally we got that order it absolutely sucked

I loved it. Very authentic Mexican Food. Good flavor and food cooked to perfection. Once I took a bite from the tacos I ordered. Man did it make me feel like I was eating delicious food in Mexico. The employees were very welcoming. Food was out in a jiffy. Fast service. Very attentive. I would recommend this establishment. Will be back soon.
