Taqueria El Gallo is a great place to pop in for a quick and authentic meal and a favorite refreshing beverage! This place has a variety selection of favorites meals with good price and excellent service! I often park in the back since that lot is often not used. Very rare to find a place with decent parking options anymore. I have been coming here for over a decade. Love this place!

I’ve been snacking here for over a decade. My favorite is three taco plate with carne asada. This food is the real deal, it’s exactly what you need and want.
After reading some reviews about “parking shouting” and 1 starring this business, I need to share.
When I parked, I watched two cars get told to leave because they were actively leaving the lot to leave the area, heading across the street.
This is downtown Redmond. There is no parking. These people read the signs, knew it wasn’t ok, and decided to park here anyways.
That is rude and disrespectful.
The type of people who 1 or 2 star a small family owner taqueria because they got caught park & ditching are cruel.
Stop on by. Get some great authentic Mexican food. Support small local businesses, in a sea of gentrified yuppy chain stores taking over.
Gracias for the decade + of food my friends

There is a very rude and inadequate owner/manager. Zero respect for the community and customers. Avoid this place.
We came there just @ 9 am on January 1st and the manager came immediately after we parked the car and started shouting at us that we can’t use that parking space and he would call the police. The parking was empty since it was a holiday (Jan 1st) and the owner didn’t even ask if we were going to visit his place. Of course after that level of “hospitality” we decided never to visit that place again.
Avoid people and places like that. The whole situation looked very unhealthy and rude. Idk if the person who confronted us has a mental issue or not, just be cautious. It felt dangerous. Our recommendation- avoid this place.

I usually never leave reviews but I feel the need to after today. I consider myself a regular and have been going here to pick up rice and beans for taco tuesdays at home. I’ve always been charged 3 small sides of rice for their 1 large container, which is what I always get. Today, the gentleman who’s always behind the counter proceeds to charge me for 4 small sides of rice. I’m a regular and he knows my weekly order of rice and beans. I protest and ask him why the different charge? He doesn’t even explain himself and insists the large container is 4 smalls. I ask him when did he decide to change the price? No answer. So I tell him I’m paying only for 3 and he’s like fine, then proceeds to dump out the large rice container and then starts to measure out 3 small containers of rice with each having lesser amounts respectively. The difference comes out to about a half inch less in the large container vs when the rice wasn’t measured and just filled. I could not believe the nickel and diming this guy was doing. I told him that I couldn’t believe he was treating a regular customer this way and that I would not return again. He didn’t seem to care and just waved me off. Horrible way to treat a customer.

Best Mexican food I’ve had in a while. The tortilla soup was great! I saw other reviews calling it expensive, but that’s only in comparison to cheap chain fast food places like Taco Time. Definitely worth it.

I recently started working in downtown Redmond and asked around for good local Mexican food — everyone pointed me to Taqueria Gallo, and I’m so glad I came! The lengua tacos and the lengua super burrito were easily the best I’ve had in a long time. The flavor and tenderness were perfect. I also tried a pork tamale, and it was awesome — fresh, savory, and full of authentic flavor. This place is a gem; I’ll definitely be coming back often!

Love AGAVE for lunch or dinner!
Great atmosphere, food and service.
My best friend Karen and I met for a birthday meal and received a free dessert after the meal . Plenty of fish on her tacos, actually made 2 meals and I love the endless chips and salsa. Beans and rice, generous portions and near ROSS and ULTA , 2 favorite place to shop

Terrible environment. The restaurant is noticeably dirty, the food was bland and over cooked and over priced. And the staff is horribly rude.. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but when we tried to talk with the staff, he was highly defensive and disrespectful. It felt like a take what you get and shut up situation. Waste of money – waste of time. Plenty of better options in the area.

Beware of extremely belligerent and hostile owner. If you like being yelled at this is the place for you.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. The aggressive, obnoxious behavior on behalf of the employees about their completely self aggrandizing “parking issue” has left a horrible taste in my mouth, as well as others. I’ve lived here for many years— this place is never as busy as the owner (?) likes to pretend it is. I can promise you the business lost for screaming at folks in front of the restaurant is far greater than the business lost for the maybe twice a year the parking lot gets half full. I’d understand if you were having a capacity issue at 9:30am, but buddy. You’re not. Take a chill pill and find a new approach. Your current one is not it.
