I came here because of the reviews and price rated by other reviews. I tried the tacos and they are small double tortilla 2-biter tacos as you can see on the pictures. Keep in mind they post $3.09 each corn taco and with an * for certain meats. I know for tripe is always extra anywhere you go but for lengua I found that odd. To break it down each tripe taco has an extra cost of $.72 so you are paying $3.81 each tripe taco. And the lengua taco with the extra $1.24 you’re paying $4.33 for each lengua taco. I grabbed a Mexican apple soda for $3.33 and to top it off $1.63 is tax. My total waa $21.24 for 4 tacos and a soda. The place is not too bad, simple and comfortable. The taste is not worth those prices to be honest. My 3 stars is for the misleading menu prices with only the * to let you know you’re going to pay extra for other meats. If you’re in a budget, use my review and spend it wisely.

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, a place that does not play about traditional, Mexican dishes, passed down through generations. Mexican food, in the city and home that I grew up in, was to be shared, enjoyed with those you love. When I learned I’d be moving to Dallas, I was so scared I wouldn’t find a place that made me feel like I was eating at home with those I loved. I was going to miss seeing families working together to make dishes they loved. I was going to miss trying new places and wanting my Denver family to visit, just so we could go there together.

Well, four years after moving to Dallas, I’ve found the place. The place that made me call my grandmother and schedule a time for her to come see me so we could eat here together. This morning, I was scrolling on TikTok, as I haven’t been feeling well and took the day off to rest. I noticed that this place opened two minutes from me; there are no accidents. I showered, prayed the food would be good, and looped around Deep Ellum’s traffic to visit. As soon as I walked up, I noticed the beautiful balcony. It’ll be a great space for when they get super busy (and it’s isn’t so cold out). I walked in and was greeted by everyone! It was so welcoming, very refreshing. I complimented them on their marketing, as their Instagram is truly beautiful, and ordered three barbacoa tacos with cilantro, onion, and lime. I asked for a hot salsa, which they gave me three to choose from. I dressed my tacos and sat in their gorgeous, industrial indoor space. As soon as I took a bite, I became grateful. Thank GOD! A genuine Mexican food spot! And it’s CLOSE! I started thinking about all the time I plan to spend here, eating and laughing with my Dallas family until Denver can arrive. I started thinking about the late nights and the dedication I’ll be able to produce here, as I’m working on a big degree.

I am most of all thankful for the quality of the food. The flavors are magnificent. The staff is kind, welcoming, patient. I am so excited to eat here and I am thankful I’ll be here to see their newest location thrive.

Honestly fantastic and authentic tacos. Must try the Lengua and Tripas Tacos. Had to go back for more. Completely empty on a Saturday which looked a little suspect, but really glad I walked in.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Feast for the Eyes and the Taste Buds!

If you’re looking for authentic flavor paired with a vibe you won’t find anywhere else in Dallas, Taco el Arquito is the spot.

The Highlights:

The Food: I ordered 4 beef tacos and they were absolutely spot on. The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with that authentic street-taco soul.

The Architecture: You can’t miss this place! The exterior architecture is genuinely impressive—it’s bold, unique, and makes the whole dining experience feel like an event before you even take your first bite.

The Vibe: Great service and a clean, welcoming environment.
Whether you’re a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and stop by. It’s easily one of the coolest-looking spots in the city to grab a high-quality meal. I’ll definitely be back for more!

Decided to try this place after driving by. You enter and the place seems small, but there’s plenty of seating in the back room and outside. The 3 taco plate was perfect for 1-2 people. The tacos were soo good, 10/10, as well as the rice and beans. I love that the salsas are individually packed and they give you one of each flavor. The green was my favorite! The elote was okay. They give you a salsa packet to add spice to the corn. I would definitely return for the tacos.

Ordinary and tamales were very good. The order was mixed up (my Spanish is terrible). The tacos were okay, and the fries were saltier than the dead sea.
