My family and I have been coming here a lot. It’s one of our favorite taco places specifically for the trompo taco special. We have tried other items from their menu in the past and have ordered in person, over the phone as well as via Doordash. We recommend the trompo special as in our opinion, that’s their specialty. We’ve tried other meats here, but they have not been as good. The beef fajita is ok, barbacoa is ok. The torta with trompo meat 10/10. The horchata is a hit or miss. There are days where it’s good and days when it’s not. I would not recommend the desserts as they are not fresh. We attempted to try them twice and both times after they were handed to us, they came to us stating that they realized they were expired and offered us another menu item for the same cash value instead. Our family specifically prefers beef fajitas as our meat of choice but would not eat it here. The restaurant itself is okay, it’s always busy when we go, somewhat clean. They seem understaffed so we suggest ordering to go or delivery 🙂

Absolutely incredible tacos! El Arquito Tacos never disappoints — the flavors are authentic, the portions are generous, and everything is always fresh and hot. The meats are perfectly seasoned, the tortillas taste homemade, and the green salsa is out of this world! The staff is friendly and fast, and the whole experience feels like a hidden gem you’re lucky to find. If you’re craving real street-style tacos, this is the spot. Highly recommended!

Customer Service was awesome! Very sweet and kind hearted people. I was very impressed at the amount of young people that was in the establishment and how the staff treated them with care. Also very fast Service. My Buffalo wings and seasoned fries were excellent, wings were nice size with meat on the bone and fries were seasoned perfectly and were crispy and hot. The torta was very good! The drink was cold and crisp. I 100% recommend this place to eat.!

GET THE CHURROS.
We ordered online for pickup, got tacos, gorditas and burritos.
They were good, nothing to write home about.
But the churros. It was so good, we came back the next day and ordered 4 more
Took some friends from out of town here and the 4 of us shared the 30 el trompo tacos.
And holy. Moly. These were great.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Seeing the good reviews definitely helped my decision to come eat here. As you can see, it’s a small but warm space. The staff is nice and friendly.
I ordered four chicken fajita tacos and a side of beans. The food came out pretty quickly. The tacos were the “street tacos” size but the chicken was well seasoned and cooked. The salsas were in packets but they were spicy and tasty. The beans were good, just a little pricey for a side dish.
I will definitely be back to try some of the different dishes. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Mexican food.

I ordered for takeout the Mi Especial with soft tacos and extra avocado. The trompo was good the chicken fajta was really good and the shrimp was phenomenal. I would get all shrimp next time.

I never write reviews, but… Having lived in both Texas and California, I’ve had my fair share of great Tex-Mex and visited more taquerias than I can count. It took me a while to admit it, but this place isn’t great Tex-Mex– it’s actually the best I’ve had. I hesitate to call it authentic, but it’s seriously good food.
Service was excellent as well. When I went to grab my order and head back outside, the woman at the counter actually hurried out from behind the register just to hold the door for me. Small gestures like that are rare these days, and it really cemented to me how much they care about the customer experience. You can also tell that whoever was working the kitchen genuinely cares about the food– something I honestly haven’t felt from a fast-casual spot in a long time.
Do yourself a favor and go here ASAP.

My happy place. One of my favorite taco spots in dfw! You know it’s going to be good when the taco plate comes with the sweated/grilled onions love the Al pastor and the barbacoa. The Tortas are also fantastic along with the Jamaica agua Fresca. Sometimes the barbacoa is a little over greasy but otherwise love the tacos so much!

Delicious homemade food. Our group had the trompo taco special, pork tamal, breakfast chorizo taco and chilaquiles. The coffee is cafe de olla–what a treat. We will need to return here and visit the other locations.
