Amazing tacos, I got 4 asada tacos. Loved the salsas too. They even included some fries in the tacos that were amazing! Reasonable prices! Would definitely go again, loved this place so much. The staff were sweet too.

This goes beyond a culinary experience into a cultural experience. I never opened a box of tacos to be surprised about the presentation.
When I first walked up, I told him I heard he has the best tacos in town. He responded with humbleness and that’s when I knew it was going to be amazing. He didn’t need to brag about his tacos. Each taco had its own salsa to try (buy 4 tacos!!!) and the black salsa was really interesting and good.
This place captures the perfect taco. I may have had “tastier” tacos but they have been more greasy or fancier toppings. When it comes to just: Tortillas, meat, onions and salsa, I never had a more balanced taco full of flavor.
The beauty is in the simplicity of the taco. He could have invited you into his home and whipped up the same dish. I loved the extra grilled onion, potato (I think) and pepper. This is the best taco I have ever had and will go again for the 2nd day in a row.

Some of the best authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had. Service has always been very friendly and the wait time is not bad at all. Lots of sauces to try with your order (try the Diablo sauce, it’s really good), you get seated veggies on the side and the portions are generous. If you’re on the south side, it’s a great place to stop and eat. The location is a food truck parked outside a local grocery store/corner shop, so atmosphere is not ideal, but the truck takes good care of it’s surroundings and has seats for folks to eat at if they like.

We visited Taqueria Doña Chole with high expectations, given the 4.8-star rating. As long-time fans of authentic San Diego/Tijuana-style tacos, we found the experience unfortunately fell into the ‘meh’ category.
The presentation was definitely Instagram-worthy. We ordered four mini-tacos (tripa, lengua, and asada) at $4 per taco, and while the meats themselves had a decent flavor, the portions felt quite small for the price.
The biggest miss, however, was the tortilla. It tasted ‘packaged’, which greatly detracted from the flavor of the entire taco. The salsas were also just okay.
Overall, if you aren’t familiar with Cali/Tijuana-style taco standards, you might enjoy this spot.

There is free street parking nearby. The taco truck has seating with a table on the side so you can eat your food there. There is also a small roof cover to protect you from the rain.

Right away, the fact that they serve burgers as well is really nice, the smoked pork was also a unique and super tasty addition as well as the tiny side of potatoes. The carne asada wasn’t over cooked, and there was a nice char on the onion and potatoes that really helped give contrast to the best part of the meal besides the meat, the 4 sauces. The light bean gave an earthy flavor at a nice base and the green was actually my favorite. Not a lot of green sauces are smooth like this was. All the sauces were good though and all used. For a taco truck to give you this many sauces makes them quickly a first choice to go to. The parking lot and set up is hidden away and seems a little off-putting, but it’s worth it.
