Hidden fees scam. We ordered 6 tacos total, and as you can see in the menu pictures, they’re $3.29 each, and yet our bill was $27.84 before tax (should’ve been $19.27 before taxes). Looking at the receipt, they charged us $5.99 per al pastor taco. When I noticed and asked, the girl asked the guy on the grill and he told her (it’s bc we got guacamole on the al pastor tacos for a total of $8 extra). IF IF IF that was “really” the case, it would be on the receipt as $3.29 per taco plus an additional cost, but as you see, the el pastor has no additions on the receipt.
Also, if guacamole cost extra, especially that much, why weren’t we informed, and why isn’t it on the menu anywhere to be seen. For $8 I can go buy 16 avocados.
The food is decent, but CHECK YOUR RECEIPT, bc they charge you extra without even telling you, hoping you dont notice.

The food was decent we ordered carne asada steak tacos they tasted really good. There is a salsa bar w all the toppings for street tacos. However, the gentleman upfront took our order wrong. We sat waiting extra long time to find out only half our order was entered and he made it sound like it was our error, rather than an apology. The place inside is tiny and dated but clean, and the bathroom is in the path to tables, they should at least add air freshener or spray so order doesn’t carry when folks open the door.

Favorite taco shop in Lompoc. They serve a very wide range of tacos. The Al Pastor taco is served with a slice of fruit on it, which only about 20% of taco places do. The salsa bar has lots of toppings for you to choose from. The meat was cooked nicely and the tortillas tasted fresh.
The atmosphere here is really nice– there are a lot of pictures from around the Lompoc valley which adds to the sense of it being a local mom-and-pop place.
Overall, a great local restaurant with an authentic feel and taste.

The food here is incredible, I originally was disheartened when I saw the prices on the menu. But when my food arrived and I took a bite, it made sense. I’m not the type of person to be able clear a plate usually, but the meat absolutely melted in my mouth and it wasn’t long til I cleared my plate. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu.

Ran into this place by picking a random spot for tacos. The parking lot is small and the inside is cozy. I got 3 asada tacos with rice. The rice was excellent but the tacos were flavorless. This isn’t to say that other dishes can’t be amazing but I can only speak for the tacos. Probably won’t come back due to the many other taco joints in the area.

Taqueria Don Tacho absolutely blew me away with their aguachile. Hands down the best I’ve ever had—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of heat and tang. The shrimp were spot on, the sauce was vibrant and zesty, and the red onion added the perfect crunch. Paired with chips and an ice-cold beer, it was pure perfection.
