Outstanding food! Outstanding owners! I’m from the Southwest and have not found anything close to what I’m used to since being here in OH the past 15 years but this place tastes like home! So happy this place was recommended to me. My husband and I LOVED IT!!

Incredible selection of tacos, burritos, and other plates, all serviced with a generous portion of rice and beans. The Jamaica drink was soooo good and not too sweet, which I feel is often the case. They homemade all their corn tortillas, including for their chips- which was just incredible! Because of that, I highly recommend the chicken tacos and the queso and chips!

My daughter and I stumbled across this hidden gem this past Saturday and were more than pleasantly surprised. The food was fresh and authentic. The owner, Julio, was very welcoming and made you feel at home. He was proud of his food and it shows. He was very knowledge about the menu and educated us in the ingredients and what was offered. He made sure we were happy and took time to allow us to try different homemade sauces. As we were about to leave, I put an order in for some homemade corn tortillas. They were made fresh to order and were delicious. Flavorful food, super clean dining room and amazing hospitality! Tacos El Pastor was a highlight for us! I will be back soon! Maybe even later today for dinner!

If you live in or near Salem Ohio, like Mexican style food, and have not eaten at Taqueria Don Julio on 3rd St. you are missing out!! Incredible Guatemalan dishes, very kind service, and delicious food!! I especially enjoyed a refreshing glass of horchata and a wonderful chat with the staff. Highly recommended!!
