Rice was soft, soggy, flavorless. Single taco was a little dry. 5 dollar cokes in the bottle. Try Rosita’s on Guadalupe and Dobson. Needs love in the cooking, and some flavors.

This place is definitely authentic Mexican cuisine and the people like the owner and the servers are so nice. The menu is not that big but they have a lot of options. I would definitely recommend it.

Super yummy made from scratch taqueria food. Had the chilaquiles which was delicious with homemade chips, yummy green sauce served with their beans & rice. Also had a pastor taco which was yummy. My husband had the taco combo plate with asada & pastor. Very clean with friendly staff. And good horchata!

Reviews brought me here and the first thing I did upon getting home from dinner was sit down to write this review myself. Friendly service, food was delicious and fresh. We had some carne asada and Al pastor tacos for Taco Tuesday. So good! The sides of beans and rice were a good size for the price and also very tasty. The salsas for the tacos were both great. We will be back here, perfect first trip!

Came here for lunch today. Drove less than an hour from Surprise. We came here for its proximity to a friend who lives in Mesa. I selected it based upon the 4.8 ⭐️ rating from about 500 reviews. It’s a small, clean restaurant. No beer or cocktails. We started with chips, salsa, and guacamole. They were fine. The salsa had a little flavor. Nothing with a nice spicy tang like a mango habanero. The guacamole was fresh; with big chunks of avocado. My entree was two street tacos: tripe and chicken. They were out of lengua which is disappointing. The portions were nice. The chicken was first, and I used some of their sauce (green chili). A nice flavor, but the chicken was a little dry. When it came to the tripe, it too had good flavor; yet a few pieces were a bit tough and chewy. They have Coca-Cola fountain products; Coca-Cola bottles from Mexico; two selections of Fresca; and other non-alcoholic beverages. When it came to ordering a dessert, they had only the churros. No chocolate flan, or regular flan. We had an enjoyable time. Spent three hours. Our server, Briana, was very nice. Being in no rush I couldn’t tell if service was inattentive, or slow. They were very kind and had caught an error the kitchen made with my friend’s ’To Go’ order. His wife is allergic to onions. The restrooms are clean. The men’s had some work being done, yet was clean and well kept. Parking is a mall setting. I had no trouble parking. I’d recommend giving Blue Tortilla a try. I only wish they had what I wanted. There’s certainly room for improvement on the menu. Offer different salsas; offer other meats like goat or lamb; and the desserts. Not sure what they could do to provide beer, wine, and cocktails. Which reminds me… they had one table and four chairs outside. A nice day it was today, and the thought of sitting outside crossed my mind. This restaurant can accommodate parties of 4; maybe 6. Any larger might be a challenge. Discover for yourself. Sorry, no photos to share.

My favorite place for birria tacos! There’s no extra charges for the cosome and it has a bit of birria in it. They have different specials and everyone there is nice. They do not have fountain drinks though so you have to buy bottled coke or drinks. They do have horchata though. The place is very clean and has plenty of seating inside. There was a table outside when I went which was nice when it cools down. You can tell the owner/chef is passionate about his food and he doesn’t mind talking to customers. My only complaint is that they are not closer to me.

If only I could give this place 20 stars. It was incredible. The food was awesome. The service was stellar. And the atmosphere. Top tier. I came after a disappointing experience at another taco restaurant and I am so glad I did. I am officially stopping by any time I’m in the area. I highly recommend.

The quesobirria tacos were absolutely delicious! I’m not sure why the place wasn’t packed at 7 PM on a Friday night, because this food is hard to beat. The drinks come in really cool ceramic, decorative mugs. The place is very clean inside. The staff were informative and very friendly.

You can’t beat $2 GF tacos and amazing service! And the tacos come stuffed (If you know anyone who loves white-meat-only chicken tacos, this is the spot)!
I love the colorful touches of hand-painted cups from Mexico and the rotating photo opp wall. Now more than ever it feels important to support locally-owned spots like this

For our weds Mom N Son lunch, we chose the Blue Tortilla Taqueria. We had four generations of my family there and it was pure love. My 98-year-old Lola, our Filipina queen, was treated with so much care by the staff, it meant everything. The birria tacos slapped me in the face with juicy sabor. Chilaquiles divorciados with both sauces? Fire. Real ones serving real food with heart. We’ll be back for sure.
