This is my favorite place to eat REAL Mexican food. The salsa and chips are truly homemade and fresh. The sauces taste as if they came straight out of an abuela’s home kitchen. The mole is amazing. I go out of my way to stop here to eat. I took the pic after I had started eating but you get the point!

Not sure about the authenticity of the food but I can tell you that it was splendid.. the salsa was definitely the top 3 on my list and the dinners were delicious. Great service no sweet tea though.. bummer but dr.pepper did the justice.

Mexican restaurant with truly unique menu items. Not the usual menu found in every other Mexican restaurant in the area. Food was good. Service was pleasant. Atmosphere like most Mexican restaurants, although booths were quite uncomfortable, more like something you would find in an elementary school.

The guacamole was very different from any we’ve had before—it was mostly vegetable with just a little avocado mixed in—delicious!
As we finished, I noticed the specials for the day. I definitely want to go back and try the Aqua fresco, Tamarindo, a flavored water they described as a juice.
The only problem we had was finding the door. The map took us down the road past the restaurant instead of into the parking lot. From the road, we couldn’t see the restaurant, but fortunately we noticed the sign as we turned around to Leave.

Real deal here! El pastor was so flavorful, might be the best I’ve ever had! Empanadas was delicious. Tacos and tostadas were fantastic!

I can’t say enough about this spot! Talk about a authentic menu with great prices. Taste is at a premium here. They have a few things I’ve never even seen on a menu and I eat at Mexican spots quite often and I’m a good geek. The Mole and piscadas are mind blowing. Can’t wait to come back and try all the other things.

A little taqueria nestled in a shopping center, near downtown Alexander City. The couple behind the counter were friendly. I ordered 2 bistek tacos and 2 chicken tacos with a side of rice and a side of beans. I enjoyed the tender, juicy, shredded chicken tacos more than the bistek (steak) tacos. Each small taco was $2.50. A small order of rice is $3.00 and a small order of refried beans is $3.00, which seems high for a simple order of rice & beans. I also ordered a bottled mineral water. My order totalled nearly $23.00 which I think is pretty expensive for 4 tacos, rice & beans and a bottle of water. I would return, but I’d also look into competitive pricing for similar dishes nearby if I was searching for a taco spot.
