Whatever your take on “authentic” Mexican is, we probably aren’t it. Our inspiration comes from a global pantry and countless hours spent in the kitchens of some of Salt Lake City’s most notable restaurants. Our food is made from scratch, and we partner with our suppliers for the best ingredients available. Local when possible, sustainable, and always fresh. You’ll find traditional flavors alongside some decidedly nontraditional ingredients like pork belly or duck confit.

Tonight we were seated promptly in a half-bench style table. Was cozy and away from the front door where it could get pretty cold. We ordered Cadillac margaritas, which were tasty, yet scant for the price. ($12) The traditional quacamole tasted fresh, yet was a bit bland for my liking, and the chips were a bit on the stale side. Our order consisted of the fish tacos and the turkey chorizo tacos. I really enjoyed the turkey chorizo ones the most of the two. Accompanied by some very spicy pinto beans and fairly predictable spanish rice. Everything was good enough… and the server did a good job. But… $70… pretty high considering what we got. I’d look elsewhere and am highly unlikely to return.

Some of the best tacos I’ve ever eaten. They had all kinds of different varieties of guacamole, and we tried five of them. The chips were very dense, and substantive, even heavy, and I kind of like that about them. They were really good. I also liked how you could tell they were freshly made, at least it seemed that way, because they came out very hot. All of the different varieties of guacamole were also very good. I am a traditionalist though, so I ended up liking the traditional guacamole the best. The watermelon was the most unique, and had a very fresh taste about it as well. Really know, all of them were great. All of the tacos were delicious as well. This place is a little bit more on the trendy side, so expect to pay a little bit more, but in my opinion, the food is well worth the price. Definitely check it out if you are ever in the Holladay, Utah area.

About 6 months ago I’d have given this place a 5 ⭐️ review but unfortunately it has changes to the food and beer menu. The server was outside on the patio on her phone when we arrived So that’s nice. The food was bland, I ordered the fried chicken burrito. The chicken wasn’t crispy and over cooked my guess is it was reheated in a microwave. The chili (salsa) was watered down and bland. Worst part of all absolutely no salt on the table The beer list is missing in my opinion the best beer they have or had I guess (Jalapeño Cream Ale)

This place is very weird and not your normal taco joint. On the pricey side but you can get some out of this world toppings and smoked pork belly or Mahe Mahe tacos.

It was an amazing place. The food was tasty, with plenty of options, a good atmosphere, and a great server (I might be wrong, but Morgan, if I’m not mistaken). I really liked my time in there and would like to visit again in the future!

Waiter made our margaritas wrong- I drank it but was still charged full price. Asked to sit outside- they told us we could move when a table opened up but they never moved us, seating others outside. Asked for some salsa for our chips. Charged for a full order of Chips and salsa. Our total shoulda been around 40 but was over 80 when the bill came. Cool bro.

I’ve been coming here for years, but my experience last night was so disappointing. The guacamole was bland, the chips were stale, and all the food prices have basically doubled.
