Very nice food spot to go to! Very fresh sushi! I got the beef teriyaki entree with salad! It was really good and fresh! I loved the atmosphere and the friendly customer service! Definitely need to come here again! It was so good, my friends all enjoyed it as well!

After oysters and pearl closed I was worried about what would be the restaurant coming in there – so my boyfriend and I went to try the sushi and I was skeptic first but I have to say: we got takeout and the fish was amazing!! The rolls were very well prepared and the service was quick and friendly 🙂 and we even got some edamame on top!
I am really excited to have a new sushi spot close to my house including happy hour and reasonable prices – I hope the quality stays up like this and it would be nice to sit outside under the heaters with the fire place and enjoy some sushi 🙂

My Husband and I went by for dinner tonight. Louisa was are waitress she was super friendly and made sure we were taken care of. The patio area with the heated fire feature is super nice. Very comfortable to sit outside and enjoy the evening. Food was delicious. Will definitely come back again.

I’m blown away by the rolls and service here! I am usually very picky with rolls. Most sushi places don’t do rolls correctly, so I usually avoid them. I’m so glad I gave Tappi’s a try. The pieces are perfectly sized, so so flavorful, and have just enough sauce and toppings. They really know what they’re doing here. Thank you so much, Tappi—we’ll be back!

The server (Christina) was really attentive and accommodating especially since I was there with my best friend and we were too busy yapping instead of looking at the menu. I ordered the Madrid roll and I have no regrets. It was soo fresh. One of the best rolls I’ve ever had. My friend had the La Mesa roll thats pictured at the top. Def coming back.

I came here not realizing the old Restaurant was no longer here. Well my disappointment turned to pleasant Surprise and enjoyment when I decided to stay and order. There was a happy hour menu with lots of options so I chose from them. I enjoyed a spicy crab roll $6 a lemon drop roll $14 and their happy hour oysters which are only $2 per oyster You can’t beat that! The lemon drop roll was my favorite the salmon was so fresh and all the flavors blended so well ! I will be back . I think I will make a reservation for Valentine’s Day!

Oh my gosh I went here for my birthday and I don’t regret it at all!! It was such a nice calm environment and not only that but the background for pictures is amazing I loved it :)) the food was amazing as well for such little price as well and it was fresh and they would definitely be seeing my face more often!!! Tappi Sushi Lounge has recently taken over the Oyster & Pearl Bar Restaurant with this sushi and bar eatery.
I stopped in for a late lunch or early dinner and ordered the garlic edamame, the protein roll, and Salmon Nigiri. Everything was quite good, especially the garlic edamame. The edamame were tender and delicious. Their garlic flavor was very good but not too strong, and they were well seasoned.
The protein roll was very good, too. The roll came with yellow tail, avocado, thinly sliced lemon, and roasted jalapeno with miso ponzu, micro cilantro and masago. I loved the lemon and jalapeno combination. It not only went well with what was on top, but went well with the spicy krab, spicy tuna, and cucumber on the inside. It was a well balanced flavored roll.
The salmon nigiri was excellent. The salmon had a very good flavor. The sushi rice was well made. Next time I need to try the tuna nigiri.
The service was friendly. They have a nice patio and plenty of inside seating. They are under a soft opening and still working on interior design and finalizing the menu. Cool new sushi spot in La Mesa.

Tappi Sushi is amazing! The food is always fresh and full of flavor, and the rolls are made perfectly every time. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. I definitely recommend Tappi Sushi and will be coming back again.
