Amazing little hidden gem! Been around the area for years and have never tried it until now. When I tell you the miso, chicken karrage , avocado tempera ( my new favorite)
And the chicken teriyaki was so delicious it tasted like something from a hibachi restaurant.

Placed a take out order for 4 rolls. The Philly roll was small and missing avocado. The salmon didn’t taste fresh. California roll was also only crab and was missing avocado. The roll o was looking forward to the lake was the tokomo dynamite roll and it was super mushy and all one flavor. Pretty disappointing for a $17 roll. All in all I wouldn’t return. The people working ignored me for over 10 minutes as I was waiting outside and it toon almost an hour to get my food when I was told 20 minutes.

I’ve been a Sushi Diner fan ever since the days of only location next to Mesa college. Then Sushi Diner 1 closed and only Sushi Diner 2 remained. Then Sushi Diner 2 owner retired and it has been sold to Tappi Sushi.
I was worried the menu has changed or quality has gone down from the limited new reviews, but was happy to find out that it’s still the same old Sushi Diner menu with a few new additions.
I love the daily lunch special meal set which is a great deal. The Kalbi bbq ribs was actually BETTER than previously. Previously they were also really small pieces and burnt black, but under new management were cooked perfectly. The endless summer roll was also better than before.
Service on Saturday was quick and courteous. Bob Marley decor is still up with Bob Marley music playing.

The atmosphere was great, and the service was immaculate. We were the only ones dining in the afternoon. I was dying to try the fried rice and was disappointed to find it bland and the chicken extremely dry. However the spam rolls were exceptionally good! I’d return for the rolls and skip the rice. Maybe the recipe can be tweaked so that it tastes better?

Small little joint with limited seating but very good food! Had a 5min wait before being seated. The staff was nice and attended to the party of 3 quickly and got us our order in a timely manner. The food was fresh and tasted very good.

I always order to-go. The food is incredibly delicious, but the monkey brains are my absolute favorite. The prices are great for the quantity and quality.
