Food is always good here but this one didn’t sit well with me. Ordered take out, got home and was enjoying our food and on my wife’s last bite she noticed a long blonde hair intertwined in the tortilla. Definitely not hers. When I brought it back to them they didn’t say sorry, instead Jorge and Luis stated they don’t have any females or anyone with blonde hair working in the kitchen. Now that i think about it. It was probably Luis’s hair. Only female working in the restaurant at the time. She had some grays that looked blonde/white.

I usually try to contact the restaurant before posting a mediocre review. I was there last month to dine in. It was awesome. Great service. Great food. Than I ordered for to go. And the food was missing stuff. Like the nachos had no toppings or sauces or anything but cheese beans and beef. There was no response form the restaurant to make it right. The taco was great and quest. And it was towards end of the night and they had like 2 large groups. It wasn’t busy peak meal times. But no front staff and I had to wait for someone to see me like for almost 10 minutes. And patrons at the table cant seem to get wait staff either and kept looking around. Dine in. Don’t take out. And go during peak busy hours when they’re staffed.

I got the Sopitos (red plate). Absolutely delicious. The masa was crispy and soft all at the same time with a good corn flavor. Refried beans and yellow rice, classic and executed well. Loved everything about my plate. In addition, we had a large party and they were able to accommodate us quickly.

Chicken soup is like grandma made it. Great fish tacos. COD. None of that TILAPIA BS. The host and staff are so welcoming. I’ve eaten there 3 days str8. Only caveat is they don’t have a actual bar so it’s table seating only. Other than that TOP TIER.

The atmosphere was great and the service was very friendly. The food overall was okay, though the fish I had came out a bit rubbery and not quite what I expected. Some of the other dishes looked good, so maybe I just didn’t pick the best option this time

Tried it for the first time. It was great. Gave the service a 4 closer to 5 as our waiter did make a mistake on our order but it was okay for my wife to eat the meal. Other than that the staff was very friendly and the could not resist to speak to them as they worked.
Food was very tasty as expected since the crowd seemed to have visited there often. I recommend going there to get your taste of the great food. I must try to other locations when I am in the areas.

The food is great. I had the huevos rancheros and it was really good. Definitely not very spicy, but that’s to be expected. I’d definitely go here again. The booth seating was pretty blah, as the seat that I sat in was completely blown out and I sank down about 6 in. Other than that though, I like the place!

Large menu & very tasty, great to have in Newcastle. Pretty typical American-Mexican food, plus some specials. Good margaritas. Nice servers! A little on the expensive side.
