My mom and I stopped to get a quick bite to eat. She was craving some Gorditas and well I a bit of stake. We found what we were looking for! The service was really quick even though it was their lunch rush. The food was cooked pretty darn perfect. The waitress was very attentive to us and all her other tables. It was busy in there but we really enjoyed our food and the over all atmosphere. The music wasn’t too loud and the over all atmosphere was very welcoming.

I ordered the large pozole and it was good, but warm, I prefer my pozole piping hot. My hubby ordered 2 flour tortilla tacos, one barbacoa (ok taste) needed more seasoning for flavor, and the potato, chorizo and egg (scrambled) but it wasnt(taco was ok). Pancake special was good, bigh enough for 2 kids to share. Our friends enjoyed the chilaquiles and barbacoa corn tortillas tacos. I prefer Sandra’s Mex Cuisine over this place.

UPDATE: I visited here again recently and the quality of food has decreased greatly. I’M SO DISAPPOINTED
Menudo was amazing!!! Breakfast tacos where really good size very delicious. The barbacoa was to not dry full of flavor. Tortillas was thick and good.

friendly and attentive waitresses, food always arrives quickly, serves menudo every day and its light and good tasting. I liked the chorizo and egg plate, potatoes were crispy and fresh i asked for ketchup and ate em first. I been eating here 1-2 times a month for 2 years and never had a dislike on food or service. (Rare for me)

This place is busy and with good reason. There is just nothing better then authentic Mexican food. All three of us enjoyed our meals but the real winner here was the mini tacos. My son got them and loved him. He is 21 and is a hard sell on many things but these he loved…. raised in San Diego he also knows good Mexican food… in the Navy he’s been stuck in the Midwest with inferior Mexican food and now he gets to enjoy some authentic Mexican food for the next 4-6 months… I don’t think you can go wrong here.
I had the carne asada nachos and they were very good but the tacos were better as the flavors were just richer and more complex.
