Reviews
Over all I don’t say it’s a great experience . One more thing I would like to mention is serving plates which are small rectangles were hard personally for me to eat food from. Because most of the food is sharable and those plates are not that helpful.
If served hot,it would have made difference.
The Beef and Lamb Shawarma sandwich was the best I’ve had in a long time. The sandwich was bigger than I expected and stuffed with meat. It was definitely worth the price. I’ll have to go to the restaurant sometime.
☕ My Turkish coffee was also excellent. Strong without being bitter, no sugar needed. I did add a little coconut cream to it though
The fries were well seasoned. Understandably, because they were delivered, they were a little soft when they arrived but I just threw them in the air fryer and they were fine.
I’ll have to write the review on the Knefeh later, I’m too full to eat it right now
Thank you Tanoor
Food:
The overall taste of the food was average not particularly good, but not bad either. However, the first entrée that came with the bread (zaatar) was disappointing. It lacked an authentic flavor and didn’t taste right at all.
Ambience & Amenities:
The atmosphere was pleasant, and I appreciated the inclusion of a prayer room a thoughtful and convenient addition.
Service & Issues:
Unfortunately, there were a couple of serious concerns. The kafta kabob that came with the meal was cooked on the outside but completely raw and cold on the inside, with a very rotten smell. I informed the waitress, and although she brought a replacement, I had already finished my meal by then and didn’t eat it.
The explanation I was given that the “marination makes it look raw” did not make sense at all and was not a reasonable justification for serving undercooked meat.
Portions & Extras:
For a meal meant to serve two or more people, the sauce portions (dips) were quite small. Additionally, charging $1.50 for hot sauce and even extra for garlic sauce felt unreasonable, especially when these are typically complimentary in most Middle Eastern restaurants.
Pricing & Final Thoughts:
We ended up paying $100, and despite the issue with the raw meat, there was no apology or attempt to make up for the mistake, which left a poor final impression.
Bottom line:
We will not be returning and do not recommend this place to others.
We ordered the lamb entrée & Shish Tawook.
Lamb was succulent and juicy with lots of vegetables. You even get to pick your own appetizer and choice of rice. Plenty of food for the price. Very Reasonable and service is great. Definitely recommend.
