Outstanding Indian dining experience in the heart of Interlaken
Tandoori Restaurant is truly one of the best places to enjoy authentic Indian food in Interlaken. From the moment we entered, the warm hospitality and pleasant ambiance made us feel comfortable and welcomed.
The food was exceptional. Every dish was rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and freshly prepared. The curries had great depth and balance, the tandoori items were juicy and well-marinated, and the naan was soft, fresh, and served hot straight from the tandoor. You can genuinely taste the authenticity and quality in every bite.
Portion sizes are generous, presentation is neat, and the menu offers a wide variety for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences. After a long day of sightseeing, this place felt like a comforting and satisfying meal.
Service deserves special mention – the staff was attentive, polite, and quick, always checking in without being intrusive. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and conveniently located, making it an excellent choice for tourists.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Interlaken who wants delicious, authentic Indian cuisine with great service. A definite 5-star experience, and I would happily visit again.

I went to this restaurant for my 19th birthday dinner with my family. The food was absolutely fabulous.
We ordered several different meals and shared different flavours of all of them; we got lamb biryani, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken and prawn masala.
The other things we had were garlic and cheese naan, paneer kulcha and papadam. Our drinks were water, mango lassi, coke and sprite. We also got plain rice and a cucumber flavour and a yoghurt flavour dip.
(We got some vegan options which I have included in the vegetarian/vegan section.)
Only two other tables had customers during our stay, so it was very quiet and not busy so the food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering and it was all delicious. However, during other times of the day the restaurant would be more busy and a louder environment.
Overall, I would rate this as genuinely my favourite new experience I’ve ever had. The food was spectacular, with an exquisite range of flavours. I would recommend you visit this place. 10/10, best food ever!!

Great service, very helpful and detailed explanation on our question, smell fissures high may be due to strength of exhaust hood that is low, therefore a little strong. But, in both a good way whereby spices was real but out clothes were a little “spiced” upon leaving ♂️. Food was great, balanced spices and taste, it was great, loved it, no complaints of food, lassi was superb ,. Service was exceptional

The place has plastic covers, chlorine smell and sticky menu. One of the staff members watching loud videos on phone and no other customers. The food continues the same standard: mediocre. The chicken biryani had maybe 3 pieces of meat and the naan bread underwhelming.
I don’t think their rating is authentic, being the highest ranking in Interlaken. Best to skip this restaurant.

Very good Indian food better than any back home. We had the chicken tandoori, lamb Bryani, fish curry and garlic naan. It was so good we went back again the next day for dinner.

The flavours are very homely . Just perfect amount of spices , no unnecessary loads of oils or spices. Although I felt sweet lassi could have been better , it was as quite runny in texture (more like chach than lassi) .
