Tandoor Grill is an amazing restaurant with delicious and flavorful food. The butter chicken is rich and creamy, and it tastes perfect with their soft, fresh naan. The chicken biryani is aromatic and well-spiced, making every bite enjoyable. I also loved the lamb chops, which were tender and cooked just right. The overall experience was great, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys Indian food.

To summarize what might be a long review: This place is a gem hidden way in Pen Argyl
Being located in the small town of Pen Argyle, I went into this dinner more or less expecting the worst – since you don’t normally associate small-town Pennsylvania with high end Indian food. However, it came so highly recommended that we gave it a shot anyway. To cut to the chase though, we were actually blown away by the quality of both the food and service we received this evening.
The dining room was set up elegantly and we were seated by one of the owners, who himself was quite friendly and welcoming. The music was nice and the atmosphere in general was uplifting and made you want to stay. On the menu there was what you would normally expect on a typical Indian menu in the US: curries, tandoor chicken, naan, biryani, etc – not overwhelmingly large of a menu, but all generally good option though. During our dinner we ordered the Chicken Tikka appetizer, Dhal Makhani (vegetarian), Lamb Rogan Josh, Goat Biryani, and garlic naan.
First out was the Chicken Tikka, which was without exaggeration the best chicken Tikka I’ve had. It was likely brined beforehand which made it super tender and moist – while also having the exact right salt and spice levels.
After that came the lamb, which like the chicken was so tender and soft that you could cut it effortlessly with a fork and melted in your mouth. This was consistent with all of the meats served. The Dhal Makhani also stood out as a star dish, since the consistency was basically perfect as was the proportion of spices used (too often it is too runny or flavorless).
The portion sizes were actually larger than they appeared and two people didn’t even get close to finishing half of the food we ordered (which is why take out bags are welcome). With this in mind, it’s a great place to go for a relatively inexpensive date if you’re trying to impress someone with quality of food and service alone.
Overall the dining experience was superb. I haven’t tried the buffet yet, but I guess that will be for the next time we go. This is truly a gem in Eastern Pennsylvania.

Easily the best Indian cuisine I have ever had! This is a hidden gem tucked away on the Main Street of Pen Argyl. My wife and I have made it a routine to come here. The chicken tikka masala is full of so much flavor, the naan is buttery and chewy, and the meals come with a big container of rice. We also ordered the vegetable samosas. My wife is vegetarian so she ordered the paneer makhani which is similar to tofu consistency. They have tons of options for everyone. Please help support this local business so they can stay! This is a non paid review, just full blown honesty.

I seldom post reviews but I am just leaving here and I am so surprised and delighted at this discovery!! We love Indian cuisine and despite the good reviews our expectations weren’t super high for an indian/Italian restaurant in pen argyl pa but this was among the best Indian food we’ve ever eaten anywhere!! The service was perfect and it’s clear that the chef has been cooking for 30 years! We just had lamb korma and butter chicken with garlic naan and cannot wait to return your on Sunday to try the buffet!
Next time I’ll give photos…
Come here and support these wonderful people!

This was my first time at an Indian cuisine restaurant. Now I have had samosas and other small Indian foods. I had the Chicken Tikka Masala as my entry dish. It was fantastic. At first I though it was over spaced but it definitely was not. It was a perfect balance. The rice was done great. The garlic naan, even better(im a garlic head). I highly recommend this. Its great seeing such a restaurant in an area that only has pizza and other typical foods. I hope ypu guys do well. I will be back again

The food here is excellent. My personal favorite is the mild Lamb Rogan Josh; I have ordered it like 5 times. We usually order takeout. The one time we dined in our only complaint was we wish they played some Indian pop or Indian traditional music instead of US pop music.
