fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The real highlight for me was the goat biryani — it was incredible. The rice was aromatic and well-seasoned, and the goat was tender, juicy, and packed with rich spices that blended beautifully in every bite.
Just a heads up: the goat pieces do include bones (as authentic goat biryani usually does), but the meat around them is so flavorful and worth it. If you enjoy traditional, slow-cooked biryani with deep, bold taste, this is definitely a must-try. DESI SPECIAL!!!!

Came back for a second visit, and there has been a terrible change in quality and service. We were one of only four tables seated on a Thursday evening. The service was very slow, and the order arrived incorrect. The food quality has also gone downhill. Undercooked appetizer, and the curry was subpar at best. Water glass wasn’t properly rinsed and could taste the soap still in it. Our curry had little meat, and it was clearly left-over, low-quality chicken. My friend even found lamb in his chicken curry!
Not sure what has changed in the past month, but it was a terrible experience and we won’t be returning for a 3rd visit.
January 7, 2025: Hands down, the best Indian Restaurant in Salt Lake! The service, the food, the atmosphere are all exceptional!
This place now has the best Saag in Utah. They make it proper, creamy, and well blended. The naan is fluffy and cooked just right. The Madras and Makhani were excellent. The spice levels are spot on. If you can’t handle heat, only order mild.
Holy cow, the Gohbi Manchurian was cooked perfectly, and had just the right amount of sauce on it. The Samosa were also excellent! Can’t wait to come back and try the Dosa! Yes, they have Dosa on the menu! And the price was amazing!

I’ve never had red butter chicken before today but it was good! It’s a red tomato sauce base with the most tender chicken I’ve ever had. Butternut squash soup was good. More curry flavor than squash, but it was served piping hot! Garlic naan was fire! Fantastic. Server was very friendly and prompt. We will come back and try some other menu items since this is close to our house.

Had an amazing dining experience for my friends birthday at the tandoor restaurant in holladay thanks to our fantastic server, baven! He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu, recommending some incredible dishes like the vindaloo, lamb kebab and the chicken tikka masala , which was absolutely delicious. Baven’s descriptions had us eager to try more!
What really stood out was he’s humor and charm that kept us entertained throughout the meal and made us feel like regulars. The ambiance of the restaurant is also top-notch, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that added to our dining experience.
Baven’s service was impeccable, attentive without being overbearing. We can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu, and we’ll definitely be asking for Baven again! Five stars for baven and the restaurant – we’ll be back soon!

We’ve been coming to Tandoor Restaurant at Millcreek, but since it’s closed we went to the other location, and it’s wonderful to see the new Holladay location thrive! The ambiance is beautiful and cozy, making it a perfect spot for family dinners. We’re especially glad to see our favorite server, Bevan, still bringing his A-game! As always, we let him decide the menu for us, and he never disappoints. The lamb madras masala and chicken tandoori were absolutely delicious! And the cherry on top was the complimentary mango ice cream – what a lovely touch! If you’re looking for a great dining experience with excellent service, look no further than Tandoor’s Holladay location. Bevan is a gem, and we’re so grateful he’s still working there !

Best Indian cuisine I have ever had. My goodness, the Cilantro Masala is AMAZING. The blend of spices in the sauce with the chicken and a side of garlic naan is so good. The service is great with very friendly and attentive employees. I will definitely be coming back.

I live in the neighborhood and finally made it over. The food was excellent and the flavors were great. My BF asked for spicy and actually got spice. Had a good selection on the menu and fair prices. Also Rollette (unsure on spelling) was such a helpful and kind waiter, we had excellent service. It will be in our food rotation for sure

We ordered catering from Tandoor Indian Grill for an office party (50 people). The restaurant delivered and set up the dishes. The food was delicious and plentiful. We received many compliments. There were great choices for the vegetarian and vegan guests. I would highly recommend Tandoor Grill for catering and for a dine-in meal.

I believe this is our new favorite Indian place. The atmosphere is nice and elegant. The food had great flavor. We ordered the Samosa as an appetizer. We ordered chicken Tikka Masala and chicken Coconut Korma. The Tikka Masala was a little bland but the Karma had great flavor. We also ordered the garlic naan that was standard. Was impressed they had complimentary mango ice cream for dessert. The staff was very nice. We will definitely be back to try some of the other items. I have heard they have a great lunch buffet.
