Tana is an Italian cuisine restaurant. We met up with some friends for a business meet and greet dinner at TANA in Old Town Metairie. This was everyone’s first time here at Tana. As soon as we walked in we were so pleased with the hostess looking for our guest in their system. This place is absolutely gorgeous. And the atmosphere was just right. After we sat at our table, My husband and I ordered Veal Parmesan with a side Angel hair pasta in Olive Oil, and a side of Ciabatta with Gorgonzola butter. Everyone at the table ordered multiple items such as a 8oz. Barrel Cut Filet , and a 32 oz. Tomahawk Rib-eye Steak. Our sides were the Crispy Sweet Potatoes, Charred Zucchini, Oysters Bordelaise, Braised Meatballs, and a couple of pastas, and salads from the menu. Everything we ordered was so delicious. No one was disappointed. We were so full we couldn’t eat anything else. The service was awesome. Our server was so polite, and attentive, I didn’t get her name but we hope to have her the next time we visit again. The Chef came out and did a live cooking demo for us. He was very entertaining and the dish was so delicious. We had a lovely time and the food, service, and atmosphere were all the more impressive. Thank you Tana we will visit again.

Group of 5 of us dined at Tana this past weekend and all I can say is – what a pleasant surprise! Based on walking in, totally thought that it would be more of a gimmick vs a legit restaurant – but food, drinks and service was legit.
Favorite appetizers were the octopus and burrata toast – have been craving them already! Table side pasta was such comfort food!
Only disappointment was that the tomahawk was a bit too chewy for some in our group, but the marrow/tomato sauce is a MUST for it. Great sommelier and service overall. Will be back, and not just for the lit up menus.

I visited this restaurant as part of a group for a friend’s graduation celebration, and we were served a preset multi-course menu. While I don’t remember every dish by name, everything I tried was genuinely tasty and well prepared.
One thing I did notice, though, was that our table felt a bit overlooked service-wise. We’re a younger group, and it sometimes felt like we weren’t being given the same level of attention as other tables around us. I’m not sure if it was intentional or just an off night, but it did stand out.
Since we were on a fixed menu and the service felt a little distant, I’d love to come back and experience the restaurant under more typical circumstances. The food showed a lot of potential, and I’d really like to try the regular menu for a fuller, more rounded experience

We had a really fun time at Tana. They have absolutely the best service! All the pasta dishes were tasty. The wine was lovely. The atmosphere was unique and beautiful. All in all, it was a great dinner experience! Next time, I want to try the pasta in the cheese wheel. Would recommend!

I have been to Tana for dinner and brunch (photo of the brunch cocktail tree which is a MUST) and am never disappointed. Food is amazing, staff is wonderful and the hardest part is trying to decide what to get so I strongly recommend getting everything and splitting so you can try it all!

I am unsure where to start because everything was exceptional at this establishment. From the moment you walk in, being greeted with smiles, to being directed to your table, everything was amazing. We happened to be here during the brunch, and ordered the Egg and Bacon pizza, fired up in an authentic style. Then having some of the savory fried oysters. For the main we shared the tiramasu waffle and Fried Chicken and the eggs and steak. All very exquisite! I recommend checking this place out if you are a tourist or wanting an elevated dining experience. Oh, and Christopher was wonderful!

Beautiful restaurant wonderful vibes. Food was delish! Wonderful customer service! I paid about 80$ plus tip… But I added crab and shrimp to my pasta, had a pizza as an appetizer and had a scrumptious original tiramisu… It’s probably better for a dinner date or if you’re sharing with someone a quick lunch… Someone recommended it to me for my birthday dinner so I wanted to check it out before deciding if we should have our event there… And I believe so I’ll definitely be back. There wasn’t much people when I
got there so my experience with my service was really great, Yumm!

Very nice place to dine. The decor is beautiful. And the service was quite good too. The light up menus are a nice touch. We ordered the tomahawk, the potatoes on the side and the focaccia bread. Steak was incredible, the potatoes were very well seasoned and cooked. Was a bit disappointed when it came to the focaccia, I don’t think it said on the menu that it would arrive toasted. It was very hard, kind of difficult to eat. Other than that it was an extremely good dining experience. Had the service was very good. Very attentive waiters. One of the members of our party had a nut allergy and they were very thorough explaining if there was nuts in any of the other dishes in case they were to be shared. That’s very important and was very nice. Would return to dine there again.

My family visited this place last night after hearing numerous rave reviews. I have to say it did not disappoint. From the moment of arrival, you become part of a truly fantastic dining experience. The valets are friendly and make parking a breeze! The decor is chic and inviting. We also loved the variety of seating they had from cozy, intimate booths to the classic dining tables with lovely comfortable chairs.
We started off with cocktails. They were well crafted and beautifully presented. The espresso martini was one of the best that I’ve ever tasted and the tiramisu liquor was to die for. I also tried the Blushing Belle, a special cocktail they had for Valentines weekend. It was a perfect blend of tart and sweet!
The bread for the table was paired with a pepperonata olive oil dipping and a fluffy smoked butter. The olive oil was so good, I would have bought a bottle of it! We ordered the pasta cart and were blown away with the knowledge of the chef and the experience. For an appetizer, we tried the octopus. This would not be something I typically would order, but I’m glad we did!! The octopus was so tender and the explosion of flavors in this dish made it well worth it!
For entrées, we ordered the pork chop parmesan, veal marsala, and red snapper. The presentation was beautiful and the portion sizes were more than enough, especially the pork chop with a beautiful crispy crust and light tomato sauce.
Lastly for dessert, we tried the tiramisu, bundino chocolate “cake”, and the special dessert which consisted of two Gelatos encapsulated in a chocolate shell with truffle and pistachios. The desserts were sweet, but also savory and truly left us speechless! I swear that bundino chocolate cake was better than falling in love. Even with the check, we were left with an amuse Bouche chocolate truffle.
From start to finish, this was a true fine dining experience and will be a place that’s added to our list of favorites. Thank you for the impeccable service and allowing us to experience a piece of Italy without the fuss of traveling!
