Ah yes, it’s burger time.
Two things you need to know before I reveal the results of Tampa Burger…one: fast food burgers are horrible, why would anyone put that garbage into their stomachs? Two: a grotesque piling of dozens of ingredients reaching heights that require FAA approval to clear airspace and clearly so big that one cannot appreciate all of the ingredients in one bite, is not a burger, it’s a disgrace.
With that off my chest, let’s dive into Tampa Burger in Apollo Beach.
First, this is a semi-permanent food truck location behind the strip mall section near Apollo Meats, etc. Not exactly the easiest to find at first, but well worth the drive around the block when you miss the turn.
Service was prompt and friendly. Nice menu of options.
I went for the cottage burger with arugula, crispy shallots, tomato bacon jam, garlic aioli, and Fontina cheese. She had the BBQ burger with pulled pork, slaw and cheddar cheese. Sides of seasoned fries were also had.
The burders are half pounds works of art. Cooked just past medium, juicy, and nice flavor. The toasted brioche buns held together nicely. Toppings are spot on and not over done.
This allows each bite to combine the intended flavors and reach the taste buds. This gives depth and dimension to a good burger. Unlike a monstrosity burger that you only get parts of in each bite.
Seasoned fries are excellent. Crispy exteriors, soft inside, and seasoned just right, lightly, not over done.
Again, service was friendly. Prices are maybe a tad high, but I am certainly not against paying extra for any thing that is top quality. And this is top quality burgers, done right.
The menu also offers grilled cheeses and hot dogs. The foot long Chicago Dog sounds intriguing and slightly frightening to me. It shall be my next order.

Easily the best burgers around! They have quite a few toppings available – highly recommend the tomato bacon jam. We absolutely loved everything we ordered and cannot wait to go back and try more!

Chose this place while looking for a food spot in this general Apollo Beach area. I didn’t know these food trucks were here. Bought the regular cheeseburger and a grilled cheese along with regular fries and poutine. I found the burger to be ok, I forgot to tell them I liked mine medium, but they didn’t ask me either, but I’ll take the blame for that. The burger was a good size and had lettuce tomatoes and raw onions. The fact it was well done probably contributed to its dryness. The meat was goog though as far as freshness and flavor. The grilled cheese was just that, a grilled cheese sandwich with nothing standing out. The fries were good and the poutine was also pretty good. I would come back again to order a medium done cheeseburger so my opinion will not be hindered with a burger cooked well done which is not the way I enjoy a burger.

My husband got the BBQ Burger and it was GOOD! By his words “burger was the bomb and the napkins definitely came in hand. Everything was made fresh. Make sure y’all come by and support.” & We travel around the city for a good burger!

I wanted to like this place more and no idea where the 5 star reviews are coming from. We had a Tampa burger, kids burger, Chicago dog and fries. Service was fast and friendly but that about as good as it gets. Burger was kind of bland and for $12, not great. Hot dog had good flavor but the dog is way too big for the ingredients included. No balance. Beefs across the street does a better burger at a better price point. I don’t see this place lasting long.

First time stopping here. I had the black and blue burger. Very tasty, the caramelized onions were cooked perfectly. The burger was full of flavor and juicy. My brother in law loved his burger. The fries and fry sauce are excellent. I will definitely be back.

Shocked at all these good reviews.the first two bites of my burger weren’t bad. Then I was stuck with a disgustingly soggy bun , both myself, son and husband had Extremely soggy burgers. I couldn’t finish it. A waste of 71 dollars with no fries. Ripoff for sure 3 burgers one hot dog and one grilled cheese. Not a single fry for $71. Never again

Another new gem found here in Apollo Beach. Truly the best place to get a burger! Always juicy and delicious! Their sauces are unbelievably tasty and go so well with their fries!! My favorite has got to be the Cottage Burger with their special bacon, amazing!
