Hard to focus on the menu when the art in the restaurant begs to be noticed. It’s a jawdroppingly beautiful lux place to eat authentic Mexican food (you can choose cuisine from various regions)…but the place itself is stunning with soaing high ceilings, the Tamayo paintings (a very legit Mexican painter)…in this cool hacienda-style building (with an historic vibe)…. archways…. open spacious dining room…ambiance is just gorgeous; upscale without pretension (or whitecloths, no not jntimidating.) And yet, it’s also comfy can go casual dress. Just not at all stuffy. Exceptional ambiance. 5/5.
Also exceptional friendly yet unobtrusive service. 5/5 Our watchful server returned multiple times to refill our water glasses, even though we were provided with a DIY pitcher of ice cold water. He took our halfempty glasses and refilled them from a tray he carried, wow that’s attention to detail and like a five-star hotel….we felt very special and cared for. As for the food, the free chips come warm…and are tricolored 5/5…also two kinds of delicious tangy but not scorching salsa …both salsas were yummyyyy 5/5. The chile relleno was perfection, pillowy goodness 5/5…the rice and beans were generous but tasted bland…doctor it up with that awesome salsa. Do that, then all’s well. My compsnion ordered the one-item combination…he chose the beef taquitos, cane with 3, for me they were a miss 3/5…the filling tasted like beef tendons or oxtail…not my favorite flavor profile…but if you like a game-y cow in the field flavor, then you will like it and score it higher, it was hot and crispy came with guac and sour cream in a big squirt/rosette. Again, bland…put salsa in the guac. In a separate room, there’s a gorgeous bar bathed in warm light a clutch of tables like a private room with its owm bar, theres more modrrn artwork.. even art painted on the doors of the restrooms. I look forward to coming back with family, friends in tow to try the other menu offerings like the mole or the enchiladas…and I have to get the chile relleno again, so yummm. There’s valet parking on the west side of the building. I don’t know if it costs anything…I read on Yelp it was free or it cost $7. We parked on the street.

Highly recommend this unusual restaurant!!

We had a large party of about 30… the service was awesome, everyone was very friendly. The decor was gorgeous for the holidays. Food was great.. salsa was delicious. Everyone was happy with their plates, the portions were large.

The venue is gorgeous and perfect for date night, a work party, or just to grab lunch. Only thing is they didn’t have the 3 salsas only the roasted and red/fresh but they chips were warm and tasty. We also ordered the guacamole that was delicious. Would recommend this for good Mexican food.

Hands-down, one of the most memorable lunches I have had in recent memory. Used to come here a decade ago when I still lived in the area and was overjoyed to find the restaurant still in great shape post Covid.

Started with the tradition margaritas and ceviche and ended with the crispy Carnitas plate and some Silver patron shots compliments of the owner who stoped by the table to see how everything was.

Great restaurant owned by great people, would highly recommend.

This is a very artsy spot to eat some high quality Mexican food. Normal Mexican dishes like burritos and enchiladas but soooo good. We had our company lunch here and I’m going to come back for sure. Not too much of a luxury feel but good enough to make it feel like a special place. Lots to look at with the art on the walls and the raised ceiling and the sun shining through the high windows makes for a nice setting for a nice meal. The service was attentive with no issues. There is a bat, but I did not order any drinks this time. You can’t go wrong here. You should try this place if your in the area. Remember there is a Valet service for parking $7.

Great food, excellent service, and great bang for your buck.

I forgot to take a photo of my plate before I dug in.

The chile relleno was delicious with the right amount of cheese and egg batter.

Came here for my brother’s graduation dinner on a Friday. It was fairly empty, there is only valet parking. The area surrounding the restaurant is not what you’d expect from the incredible service you get once entering this establishment. The outdoor facade/ look is not appealing. The place looks as if it was a repurposed motel building made into a fine dining Mexican restaurant. The place is pretty big with plenty of seating for large parties. The interior is much more appealing to the eye with large canvased paintings of Mexican artists. My favorite was the recreation of The Last Supper but with abstract pineapples.

The food was good but not out of this world Mexican food. The prices are definitely high for what you order. I believe the chicken was the best. I ordered their combination of chicken flautas and the Chile relleno. Portion sizes are big which makes it all worth it in the end. Highly recommend the prickly pear margarita! (Red) Overall, would come again for a special event like another graduation. We had 2 vegans (including my brother the grad) and we were given great service and accommodation for our diets. He had the veggie wet burrito.

For a place like this charging 16 for a glass of wine is highway robbery. The staff are friendly and nice. The food needs to be updated and old menu is needed. The chair I was at was sticky and Everytime I moved my jacket would get stuck. Parking is $7 and safe. Would I go again NO
