Another hole-in-the-wall location that needs to be visited. This was my first trip and was welcomed in as if I was family or longtime friends.
As I’ve had the “normal” dishes Americans go to, I left the choice of my meal to the staff. I did specify that I wanted fish. They prepare whole snapper three different ways.
I ended up with it steamed with a fantastic favorable sauce.
It was served atop white rice with a side of cabbage & carrots, along with some plantain.
I definitely recommend this place for a flavor filled meal.

As a transplant GA girl from NYC, I have been searching for delicious Jamaican food again—AND I finally found it! Jamaica Mi Happy was like walking into a friend’s house. Staff is wonderful, food was delicious. I couldn’t decide what I wanted so I ordered 4 different plates. Each one a mouth watering sensation. Flavors I haven’t had in years, it made my day, which was also my bday. To say I will be back is an understatement, I will be a weekly regular. I highly recommend trying! Hidden gem of LaGrange/West Point GA!

I found this gem yesterday while in LaGrange, GA. As someone who has been traveling to this town for 16 years and as a huge foodie, take it from me when I tell you this restaurant is a blessing for the city! The ladies of this establishment were genuinely kind and welcoming, I could’ve sat and talked with them for hours. The food was amazing! The flavors were rich and seasoned with love. My husband had the curried chicken and I had the ox tails! The meat was so tender, fall off the bone good, Chef’s Kiss The rice and peas, cabbage and plantains were great also (my husband loved the plantains)! I am dreaming of the day when I can return! May God richly bless this establishment!!

I ordered the large curry chicken with rice and cabbage with a side order of fried plantains. The food was really good. I’ve ordered from them many times. My only concern is that they don’t give as big of a portion as most Jamaican restaurants do. My chicken pieces were very bony with some having only a little meat. I hope you take that into consideration. The flavor is really good and is not overwhelmed with spices. I will be ordering again!!

OMG!!! The service was excellent. Both ladies were extremely nice. I drove from Auburn to try out the restaurant and so glad I did. I got the peas and rice, cabbage with jerk chicken wings. Everything was fresh hot and perfectly made. Oh yes, and I also got the festival bread. I wish they had macaroni and cheese. The peas and rice were seasoning perfectly. Everything had lots of flavor. I will definitely be back.

We got the goat curry, rice and beans and cabbage. Side of jerk chicken and their bread they recommended!! It was amazing, perfect level of spice, fall off the bone tender! Along with a beef empanada and a spinach empanada, packed full of filling!! Wonderful service by the sweet ladies up front as well. Will definitely be going back

This place is amazing! Every time I go I try to get something different but so far the jerk chicken continues to be my favorite. Plantains are a must try! This restaurant and its staff reminds me of my trips to the caribbean. Super nice staff! Great food!
