Got the veggie Raman and it was good but kinda lacked in flavor so asked for spicy sauce on the side and it made it a little better. Food came fresh and quick. Nice chill vibe spot for some ramen. Glad they open late compared to other ramen places. It’s weird how they couldn’t change the pork broth to veggie broth. That’s something I got bothered on.

Tamashii Ramen broths at the LIC location and this location used to be delicious, the best, but in the last few years the umami flavors and depth of broth flavors have really become watered down. I used to assume the kitchen might have had a change over, and maybe needed time to adjust, so I’ve tried a few more times since I noticed the ramen losing flavor and the quality still hasn’t returned. The broth and pork seasonings really lack salt or any flavor and the aged flavors for the miso broth they claim are lacking. It’s too bad.
You can add a little Nanami Togarashi to help add some seasoning, but it’s still not the same as before covid.

On a cold day, all I wanted was a comforting bowl of hot soup — and Tamashii Ramen delivered far beyond my expectations.
The appetizers were so outstanding that I honestly thought I wouldn’t even have room for ramen… but one spoonful of the broth changed everything. Deep, rich, and incredibly flavorful without being salty, paired with perfectly cooked noodles that had just the right bite — it completely won me over. The balance was flawless.
What truly elevated the experience, though, was the service. The servers were exceptionally kind, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Not overly formal, not rushed — just the kind of friendliness that makes you feel comfortable and cared for from the moment you walk in.
From the food to the atmosphere to the people, everything came together beautifully. This is the kind of place that turns a simple meal into a memorable experience. I’ll absolutely be coming back — again and again.

Went to Tamashii Ramen in Forest Hills after our concert at Forest Hill Stadium and had a great time! The food was high quality, came out on time, the service was excellent, and prices were very affordable. I’ve also been to their Astoria location and it’s just as impressive.

I was told I would be taken to a Ramen noodles and other delicious Japanese bites restaurant. We told a walk to Austin Street and there it was. The space is intimate and has traditional decoration. My sons said little compared to the deliciousness of the plates we ordered. The customer service is superb and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The plates are beautifully presented and the taste is oh so good.

Really cute place. I enjoyed the seafood ramen called Champion. The broth was light with a Smokey flavor, rich seafood and the mussels were plump. The bathroom had some cute artwork. The soft egg was a little over cooked. But I was pretty happy with the overall flavor. I love the noodles and you can order extra serving of noodles.

Cozy spot with ramen that really hits the spot. The broth is rich and flavorful without being too heavy, and the noodles have that perfect chewy bite. Portions are generous, and everything feels freshly made. The staff is friendly and the service is quick, even when it’s busy. After my trip from Japan, I had to come here again—and it still delivers that comfort ramen fix. It’s the kind of place you leave already planning what you’ll order next time. Definitely a solid go-to when the cravings hit!

A vegan friend recommended this spot to me, but the restaurant recently changed their menu and no longer has veggie broth… only fish and bone broth. So sadly, I didn’t try their ramen. Vegans beware that your options will be limited to the hot/cold tofu starter dishes, and appetizers like the sweet potato fries (which were quite good) and white rice. Service was excellent, on the upside!

I recently visited Tamashii Ramen in Forest Hills, Queens, and the food was amazing. The ramen had rich, flavorful broth, and the ingredients were fresh and high-quality. I tried the Spicy Miso Ramen, and it was delicious with just the right amount of heat. The cozy, Japanese-style decor added to the experience, making it feel authentic and inviting. The service was quick and friendly, making my visit even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this spot for anyone craving a great bowl of ramen.
