My husband and I recently visited Tamari, a fantastic Georgian cuisine restaurant, and we can’t recommend it enough! The food is absolutely mouthwatering and worth every bit of the 2-hour drive. They also have an impressive selection of Georgian wines to perfectly pair with the delicious dishes. The cozy and inviting atmosphere adds to the overall experience. Best Georgian restaurant around. Excellent food, fantastic wine! The owner is a sommelier and gave us an excellent recommendation on wine. We had Saperavi of Qvevry, which paired well with Lobio and Lamb Kebab. Try their Beets in Tkemali sauce! Delicious! The atmosphere was cozy and service was great. All dishes are absolutely delicious and it’s our favorite place to eat, so of course, I definitely recommend it!

Khinkali beef were amazing, tasty, very juicy! The Napoleon dessert was also very good. We also ordered chakapuli lamb very tasty, but next time we would order them with corn bread, to add variety. The pork kababs with a side of fries was excellent, the sauce that goes with it is very rich in flavor.

This was our first time trying Georgian food, so my girlfriend and I went in cold, and asked for some help along the way. Thankfully the service is very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the spinach pate appetizer, with the impressive corn bread, the assorted pickles, the eggplant stew (served cold at the suggestion of the server), and the amazing dumplings. Everything was delicious and very flavorful! We paired the meal with two of the dry red Georgian wines. I definitely want to come back to try the cheese bread and some of that other hot plates.

Excellent Georgian food, great hospitality and service! Came across this place while we were in the area and decided to try it out. Everything we ordered was amazing in taste, generous portions and good for sharing. We ordered the cold appetizer combo (all appetizers, especially the pkhali, were yummy), the khachapuri, and the grilled Branzino. We also ordered a white Georgian wine which was great to taste, and went very well with the fish. Also one of the better white wines I’ve had recently. Will definitely revisit when in town again.

We were expecting more from that place. We really love Georgian cuisine and we visited Tbilisi last year . So unfortunately that food from Tamari wasn’t such tasty as in Tbilisi . A little bit overpriced place for not great looking dishes.
