My first time here and the last time here. Ordered the 3 taco lunch special with rice/beans. Taco meat was cold. Corn tortillas were stale and hard as a rock. Rice was flavorless and sticky!! Beans were very dry and salty! By far the worse establishment I’ve eaten at in a long time. The salsa was frozen in the bottle too. Best thing I had was my beverage. I would be embarrassed to serve anyone what I was served today.

This is not Tex-Mex And that is OK. This is simple and flavorful Mexican food. Locally owned and operated with traditional Mexican recipes and a simple streamlined menu. The food doesn’t sit in a warmer. It is made to order fresh you can even watch the guy make it. I was going to eat half and take the other half home, but it was so good that I ate everything on my plate. I wanted to order some tamales to take home, but he was sold out so I will just have to go back. I couldn’t find anything wrong with this place and I hope that your experience will be just as delicious as mine was.

We started off with chips and salsa. The salsa was good and not too spicy which i prefer. I had the 3 birria tacos with consume. I added the rice and refried beans on the side since it didn’t come with it. The meat was not as juicy as I would have hope but good. Rice was good but I didn’t care for the beans. My daughter had the menudo. It was flavorful and she liked it. Her serving didn’t have the hominy in it but alot of the meat which was good. Overall it was was good and I will return to try the tacos and other dishes.

This is not ur “regular” mexican joint. They dont have many tables, but this place has such a great vibe! Each table has a “candle” and they also dim the lights. Its so clean and welcoming. Its family owned and the staff is great, even down to baby girl who was making sure things were in order. They do have a bar u can sit at and they have beer, wine and mixed drinks that u can get served in cocktail glasses. No problem understanding the menu or the staff. I got the quesabirrias w/consume, chicken quesadilla, a side of rice/beans and a large horchata. The beans were very creamy and a littttttle bit salty for me. The rice was ok and tasted more like fried rice. My horchata needed a refill like yesterday. The rest of the food……They should be ashamed! They about to have all my damn money. The tacos and quesadilla were full of flavor, meat and cheese. May God continue to bless this establishment and this family! Like terminator……I’ll definitely be back

Today I went back to Tamalocos Mexican restaurant! I am not going to lie I’ve tried it before but this time in particular it was delightful! They have grown tremendously on their services and food was on point. I am super excited they made changes to their menu. And I will definitely be coming back to this mom and pop shop! As a Cali Transplant, I gotta say, this reminds me of home. Last time I went I got an absolutely loaded Torta, this time I got a Taco plate with 3 Al Pastor Tacos, absolutely loaded. Great meat flavor, great rice/beans, best salsa verde around for a Longview Taquiera, plus a great Taquiera salsa to pair with chips, not to mention a smooth Horchata. Definitely a must try indeed!

Our family loves this authentic Mexican restaurant! Considering the variety of options they offer, this makes the experience well worth the price. The atmosphere is very vibrant and they’re always happy to see new faces. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

Tamalocos Mexican Restaurant is absolutely amazing! ✨ The food is simply delicious—fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. Their team goes above and beyond to make sure every bite is perfect, and the service is just as wonderful as the food.
