Heard about this place and decided to try it for the first time. The ladies were very sweet and answered any questions I had about the menu. And the food was amazing!!!! Definitely coming back for more. Unfortunately, they didnt have any carrot cake when I went in which was recommeneded to me by a friend to try but they had other options to choose from.

Hole in the wall the delivers amazing homemade amazingness.

The tamales are second to none and the tortas filling. You can eat there, but space is very limited. I recommend getting your order to go. Also, make sure to grab one of the homemade desserts! Carrot Cake is my favorite.

This place caught my eye when I was driving home and I just felt a pull to try it. Best decision ever.
So cute and cozy. The food tastes fresh and homemade. I want to try everything but this time the winner was the chorizo burrito.
Beautiful case of cakes and goodies.
Clean as a whistle everywhere.
Will be back, with cash( $1 processing fee for cards)! ❤️

Pastor was very tasty and moist highly recommend. Pollo was dry and lacked seasoning. Asada was tough and needed salt. Salsa was tasty and not overly spicy. Tortillas were dry and somewhat difficult to bite through. Guests outside looked like they were eating nachos with a salsa Verde and they looked very appealing and delicious. Service was nice and friendly.

Tamalixo in Omaha is an absolute gem for authentic Mexican comfort food! I recently tried their tres leches cake and cheese quesadillas, and both were outstanding.

The tres leches cake was perfectly moist without being soggy, with just the right balance of sweetness and creamy texture. It tasted homemade — light, rich, and full of flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients and really know how to do this classic dessert right.

The cheese quesadillas were simple but delicious — the tortillas were soft and fresh, and the cheese was perfectly melted with that satisfying stretch. They were served hot and crisp on the edges, exactly how a quesadilla should be.

Overall, Tamalixo delivers authentic flavors and a warm, friendly experience.

Turn at the carwash
Don’t wait another day for the parking lot to get bigger
The food is riquísimo! The wonderful lady helping us tonight was AMABLE and helpful with ‍♀️❓about the menu. There are a few tables inside and one outside. Sit in your car or stand and talk to the other patrons. We had una torta de carne asada and una ensalada like tostada thing with chicharrónes and tomatoes and cabbage tossed ina vinaigrette con crema on top,
Y CHAMPURRADOS
Y pastel de 3 leches

They are open until 8, don’t wait!!

Tamalixto’s was the prime lunch spot for my husband and I this summer while we were working on our garden. We’d leave with happy tummies, but wouldn’t feel too heavy or bloated after, so we could go right back to work lol. I love this place. The staff are so friendly and welcoming (even if your Spanish is terrible ) and the food is delicious; my favourite is the carne asada torta. Oh, and their desserts? Top tier (pun intended, because you can order whole cakes from them, too!)
Anyway, if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food that won’t break the bank, go here.

I found this little tamale shop a few months ago. I picked up some pork tamales red & green sauce. Wow! They were delicious. I used to go to south Omaha to buy tamales but no more. The dough even has flavor, good amount of meat ratio. The staff is friendly & always smiling. I routinely buy their tamales now. I even had them for Christmas dinner. Excellent food. Give them a try you won’t be disappointed.
