Absolutely amazing, a true local gem! Some restaurants treat tamales as an afterthought or just another item to put on a menu- not so here! The tamales are the star of the show- they are thick and packed with flavor. I enjoyed their Friday special of 3 tamales as did my partner. I got beef and they had cheese and jalapeño as well as spicy chicken, and we split an order of rice. We devoured every bite, and wanted more! 10/10 highly recommend.

Very great service and amazing food. Had the chicken taco combo, a spicy chicken tamale, and elote in a cup. All of the food was just great! Lemonade and horchata had a great taste as well. Will come back again.

Came in to this place and the employees were very nice and welcoming they have a nice selection of drinks and food I would highly recommend this place. If you want some good food give this place a try. You won’t regret it, I didn’t want beans and they hooked it up on the rice

I’m actually a little disturbed. I was in today and I saw the Theresa girl who just made a review and I saw her eat her meal and ask for a Togo box so if it was trash she must like trash taste. The food here is amazing. I come here so much because of the food and the staff is so friendly and nice. The tostadas and enchiladas are my go to but the pork is amazing as well. The restaurants always clean and the salsa is my go to for home.

The tamales are amazing!! Large in size and flavorful, I tried the pork. The rice is okay; it doesn’t have a lot of flavor, but for the lunch combo it’s a great price. I didn’t get the beans, as I don’t eat them.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Of all the Mexican restaurants we have been to, this one makes THE BEST quesabirria tacos we have ever had. They were packed with birria and melty, gooey cheese. The tortilla was perfect.
The tamales were really good as well. The masa was cooked perfectly and they were also packed with filling.
The staff was so friendly and the food came out fast and hot.
I would absolutely make the 2.5 hour drive again for these. If you are in the area, stop by. You will not be disappointed!

Tasty food & kind people in a laid-back casual setting. This place is small & quaint but has awesome food, prepared hot & fresh for you. The prices are great also, cheaper & better food quality & quantity than Tacos Elcunado in my opinion now. Give this place a try if you love Mexican food. It’s become my number 1 to go to now.

For our truck driver appreciation lunch, we ordered burritos, salsa and chips for 75+ people…the lunch was a huge hit! The burritos were delicious (and a generous size), and the salsa was fresh and amazing. Everyone is looking forward to this lunch again next year. We very much appreciate the service and the all the hands that went into prepping this order. A couple of the employees helped us load all the food up and they were so pleasant and kind. Can’t say enough good things about Tamales Mary!

Excellent food. A lovely home in the wall feel. A few people run the store and have make all the food they sell. They make everything fresh that morning and go until they sell out. Plan to go earlier in the day if you want the fullest range of options. Highly recommend!
