The restaurant is so small. We had to wait outside for about fifteen minutes. There was only two people working. The tamales were dry. A couple of the green chile and cheese tamales were burnt on the sides. The red tamale had good flavor, but dry. There was no room to eat inside. There was two picnic tables outside.

I wanted some Tamales and saw a sign in the west side of El Paso and order a couple with a burrito and it was very good, it was fresh good flavor and filling.

Love the consistency, we always know what we are going to get and never disappointed.Been a family favorite for years and a staple of our home. Some of the best green chili chicken tamales in town. My personal favorite are the dulcet tamales, recommend to all visitors and out of towers, when we have company.

I am so disappointed. We loved to make a pit stop here when in the area which is not so often. This last dozen of tamales purchased were incredibly small for the price. To make matters worse, a large strain of hair came out of the green chile tamale I had just started to eat. Yuck! Time to find a new tamale location!

Tamales Lupita’s been around for ages, and while the flavor’s changed, it’s still good quality. I don’t come here often, but when I do, I always get their tamales, which are super good. I’ve tried other things, but the tamales are my go-to.

Don’t believe the hype. I spent around 40 dollars on 1 dozen red and 1/2 dozen chile and cheese tamales. Unfortunately, this place only cares about making money and not so much about quality. Went during New Years Eve. Waited in line 45 minutes. When I placed the order, I’m sure they noticed how badly burnt they were. Of course, I didn’t notice it because there’s too much going on, and they want to know in a hurry what you’re getting and for you to be on your way. When I got home, the red tamales were burnt. They were mostly just masa and no meat. They were sandy and not how they are supposed to be. They were so dry hardly had any red chile, bland in flavor. I ended up contacting a friend of a friend for tamales because these were so bad. The chile and cheese were good and way better than the red. I’ll give them that. They weren’t sandy, they had good flavor but not worth my time or money.

I’ve been going to Lupita‘s tamales for years now, and one thing I noticed in the recent years is the consistency of the flavor of the tamales. It’s never the same sometimes it’s really good sometimes it’s not sometimes the green ones could be really good and then the red ones could be lacking flavor or too much flour other instances the green ones can be really bad or extremely spicy and the red ones could be perfect it is pricey for what it brings to the table in my opinion at the end of the day, they’re all all right

Tried Tamales Lupita for the first time and when i was checking out I explained I just found about this morning from google and the guy goes we’ve only been here for 41 years and I told him that’s incredible and I’m excited to try it after waiting in a line to the street. He tells me I’ll see you again later… Yea he was right cause DAMN those tamales were so good & the salsa . I’ll be visiting often now!

The quality of the tamales is horrendous. Very small size and very overpriced, but the texture is also very off putting. As someone who has tried many tamales, I would say these are either old tamales or frozen tamales that they just heated up due to the dry, hard texture. The service and atmosphere was better than the food.
