I told the I want a dozen green tamales with chicken. The cashier had an attitude. They gave me a dozen red tamales with pork. When I ate one when I was driving. I had to pull over and throw up. The taste was horrible. I put the rest of them in the trash. Plus they charged me $59.

The reviews made me doubt about whether to try the food or not, but honestly it was worth it. I had ordered flautas with chicken, tamales both red and green, they were clearly the BEST I’ve ever tried. The food I tried tasted like the ones I grew up with, the waiting and money was worth all the food & it was in fact the cheapest ever. ❤️ (I honestly don’t get why they are saying that the tamales are dry and not at temperature at all when I literary burned myself )

Worst tamales I’ve ever had. The jalapeno & cheese ones were horrible! Not done enough and basically zero sauce on the pork tamales as well.

Best thing about this taco was the onion. Tortilla and meat were both VERY DRY. I don’t think any cook (beginner or trained) could turn al pastor meat to a black crisp, which leads me to believe the meat was pre-cooked and then re-heated :/
Barely any cilantro on it either. I don’t mind the stems, so at least pile on a hefty amount of scraps, please.
To anyone out there, though: don’t waste your money here. I recommend buying your own raw, pre-seasoned meat at your local carnicería and make your own tacos. Cilantro is about a buck, so you can be heavy-handed at home with it:)

The tamales here are excellent! I have tried the chicken, pork, and chile and cheese. All were delicious. There is a full menu besides tamales that I am looking forward to trying

The green salsa needs to be cooked more garlic. The tortilla needs to be toasted the bread and it needs to be hot. It was OK but I didn’t really enjoy it. I cook a lot of Mexican food and this wasn’t good. I give it 2 1/2 stars only because I’m trying to be nice. The chicken on my sandwich was very dry and chewy.

I love their food, as well as their chiles. However she’s known for her tamales, which are the BEST Tamales ever!!! People might say it’s pricey but these aren’t your average tamales. Satisfaction guaranteed! Not to mention the variety of champurrado, awes me all the time. You just gotta get there early cause her tamales & champurrado sells quick.

It’s difficult to wrap your head around 5 items coming out to $26. The food is tasty but it seems a bit steep. I hope some of the price increases go towards new menus. The one in house have white out and been written on to reflect price increases. And maybe update in house. But the food is great when they do have enough chicken tamales, even for dinner time.
