My girlfriend and I came to this restaurant on a Friday evening as we saw it on social media and thought it looked amazing. I can confirm this is the best tasting Indian food I have ever had and I have been to many curry houses. Gautam and chefs thankyou so much from Millie and Jack

We popped in by chance and we were not disappointed! The service was brilliant, and the food was incredible.
We were hungry and shared, Poppadoms, chilli paneer, lamb chops, lamb curry, paratha, dhal and rice. The food exceeded our expectations, and I can’t wait to come back to try everything else.
I would highly recommend!

Went here as i was around the whapping wharf area and did not know where to eat. We called for the onion bhaji, mango salad, gobi 65, jackfruit biryani, dal tadka and parothas.

The onion bhaji was dry and not served on the side with any chutneys which was a tough one to swallow. The mango salad was too less in quantity for a 6.5 pound dish and lacked any flavour. The gobi 65 was good, thin crispy coating.

The biryani was flavourful however for 15 pounds the quantity was abysmal and the dal tadka fell short of authentic indian flavours that you get when tempering garlic with ghee.

I left the restaurant as hungry for food as i felt when i went in. I dont think ill be returning here for Indian food. I can list atleast 4 other spots close by for better indian food.

This spot needs to reconsider its flavours and what are they trying to serve really?

The person waiting on us got the orders mixed up and was handing us things we didnt order / double delivering on the same order.

Oh and they have only high seating with cramped tables. I dont care much for seating without back support, especially at these high price points. Disappointing.

Ps the 2 stars are solely for the gobi 65 and the fragrance in the biryani. Credit where credit is due.

Wow! Four of us had an excellent meal with great service. Although mains were lovely, the small dishes were the star of the show. Chilli chicken, chilli paneer and bajis were really special. And the chicken pea side. Really impressed with the reasonable drinks prices too.
Don’t know why the name says express, when we had a really relaxed, unrushed evening out with fabulous service.
Will return again soon.

Visited after a trip to the theatre. Loved the selection of food – nice to have choices quite different from the usual Indian restaurant dishes – and the street food set up gives space to try a variety of dishes. Friendly staff, clean, bright and attractive decor. My only negative was that the loud music made talking a bit of work.

Fantastic, independent restaurant which is full of passion and flavour!
Went here on an off chance and very glad we did. The team are clearly passionate about what they do and that translates into the food which was full of complex flavours.
The owner made recommendations which we followed and we will certainly be returning to try the rest of the menu.

My second time eating here and once again not disappointed. The first time I was with a friend who is vegan and we ordered a selection of these dishes that were all wonderful. The next time I went with my husband and had a selection of meat and fish, all were absolutely delicious and freshly cooked. I had to order the kale pakoras again, they are amazing!

Needed to find a spot for last minute dinner before a gig and don’t know the area! Came across this place and it was brilliant! The service was excellent, they even amended the menu for us so we could have an alternative veggie option (there are still options on the menu!) the food was delicious and very reasonably priced

Greeted warmly on our entry by Meghna who looked after us throughout our visit. The food is out of this world – best lamb shank we’ve ever had and the thali was amazing. The blooming onion was almost too pretty to eat and oh so tasty. Everything delicious – surroundings very tasteful and a nice relaxed atmosphere.
