Located on a strip of road you wouldn’t expect a restaurant to be located at is this restaurant. The name makes it sound like a pub, and although it does have a large bar, it also has a restaurant with tables and booths and am incredible menu.
Very generous portions, amazing treat of flavors, very attentive and professional staff. Great meal experience overall.
Two pro tips: make reservations if you plan on eating at a table or booth. When the place is full, there’s not enough parking so carpool if you can.
Never heard of the place, but I wanted to try somewhere different.
They don’t have a host table which was rather odd, but we were seated once someone noticed us standing awkwardly by the door.
We loved everything we got and we were treated very well by the wait staff. Good house wine too.
Prices were fair.
We’ll definitely be back.
Hi highly recommend!
The Murphy Chicken was absolutely delicious! The Sirloin Steak was as good as any top steak house! Their Chicken Parm was fantastic too!
The outside is not particularly inviting. When I saw the neon Coors Light sign in the window, I thought this was going to be a sports bar joint. I was wrong.
Yes, there is a bar with multiple TVs inside, but there is also a separate seating area for non bar patrons. There are also a few private tables alongside the front of the restaurant, and there is a partial glass wall separating them from the bar, so they are nice and quiet. We sat in one of those.
The bar was not real busy that night and neither was the restaurant, so it was nice and quiet to talk. I imagine it would be quite different on the weekend, and our server told us so. Service was good.
There is an extensive menu, and all the dishes are very moderately priced. Our dinners came with delicious Italian bread and salads and a side of our choosing at no extra cost. The pierogi appetizer was delicious, the chicken piccata was very tender and tasty, and the chicken/shrimp/filet mignon dinner with Romano sauce was wonderful. Portion sizes were nice, though not overwhelming. The pinot Grigio available was good and not super expensive.
Bottom line. This is a very good casual dining restaurant, very moderately priced, and with a huge selection of dishes. I do think the food is a notch below some much more expensive restaurants we have gone to, but is a very good value for what you get. This is a nice alternative to a fine dining restaurant. We will probably be back the next time we vacation at the shore.
Bartender damn sure doesn’t need to quit his day job!
