Wow this restaurant is amazing. Great service serving up some delicious and fresh sushi. The rolls we ordered and the two extra pieces of scallops were some of the best food we had on the island. Rolls had amazing presentation as well. I would have loved to stop by for their dinner omakasi menu, maybe next time .

My husband and I did the premium omakase at Takumi, and it was easily the best dining experience we’ve ever had. The restaurant setting itself was crisp and clean but also warm and inviting. Watching Chef Eima prepare each course was mesmerizing; from the wasabi root that was freshly ground on a shark skin plank (!!), to the house made/aged soy and shoyu sauces, to the absolute perfect balance of flavors and textures in each piece of nigiri, the experience was bespoke and unforgettable from start to finish. Takumi gave us not only incredible food, but also a cherished memory from our week on Maui.

Cool atmosphere and pretty good service. I really enjoyed the soup — it was flavorful and comforting. The rolls, however, were a bit too simple for my taste. Overall, a decent spot with a nice vibe, but the sushi could be more interesting.

I was checked out of my hotel, living a nomadic existence for the remainder of the day, and stumbled across this little spot just down the road from my resort. To my pleasant surprise, and despite their location in a strip mall right off a main road, their menu and service was delightful! I was being indecisive and they were willing to custom make a roll for me so I could try a variety of ingredients. While the prices are typically Hawaiian I would pay them again for the quality.

I have always felt the Sushi on Maui is pretty lackluster. This place is legit. A REAL Japanese sushi chef and master. Fine food, such high quality. Clean fresh and artistic. Not doused in sauces and overloaded with rice. This is real, OG, well made sushi. The takeout is great. It’s a small place so really set up for the omakase experience.

We had an amazing experience at this omakase restaurant! The food was incredibly delicious, especially the perfectly prepared fish. Each dish showed the chef’s meticulous attention to detail. The intimate atmosphere and exceptional service made the evening even more special. We can’t wait to return and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Maui. This was our first omakase and it was lovely. The food was coursed perfectly and the sake pairings complimented each dish very well.
Highlights included a miso black cod and shishito pepper, goldeneye snapper, and Hawaiian shrimp nigiri, but everything was fresh and delicious.
It would have been incredible to have a printed menu of the food we were enjoying, so that we could better pace our sake, reference ingredients, and have a keepsake of the evening.
All in all, pretty good. Cute date night to wrap up a truly relaxing and luxurious week in Maui. Thank you!

We ate here THREE times over three days because it was SO good! One time I picked up the order — even the to-go box and presentation was amazing. Quality all around: fresh ingredients, delicious food, friendly service, presentation, portions, and cozy outdoor dining.

Stopped by for a quick lunch, unfortunately the indoor area was closed. The rolls were decent, but there weren’t much other items to choose from besides the raw dishes, sashimi and sushi. We came here because I thought it served beef. My mistake.
