Takoma Bev Co is a great spot! I tried the full breakfast and it was delicious — fresh, well-seasoned, and very satisfying. The place does get really crowded, but that just shows how popular it is. Friendly vibe and definitely worth a visit.

I recently moved to Takoma and so I’m still trying local shops. Instead of going to one of the cafes I’ve already tried and loved, I decided to try Takoma Bev co. When I arrived the line was long, but I still decided to try it because I’ve been to many busy restaurants that have good customer service and bring food out fast even when they are slammed. I’ll start with the good, my latte I ordered was delicious creamy and came out fast because one of the staff put my order in while I was still in line. Unfortunately the food was an entirely different experience. I ordered the adobo fried chicken wrap to go. After waiting half an hour and still no order, I asked one of the staff if he could check to see where my order was in line and give an eta of when it would be ready. He was very dismissive and rude, nonchalantly and unapologetically saying that they were busy and he can’t do anything for me. Meanwhile, all I asked for was an eta, not to make the food come faster. I was shocked that a) it was taking this long b) the staff was so rude when I simply asked for the status of my order. When I finally got my food, a simple wrap and fries almost 40 minutes after I ordered it, I was underwhelmed with what I got. The fries and the wrap were bland. The wrap also was described as fried chicken, but it was just actually grilled or shredded. I couldn’t even finish it, I ate half and threw the rest away. Thus paying $26 for bland food that took over half an hour and came with rude customer service was absolutely not worth it to me. I should have patronized one of the other local cafes where I can pay the same or less for much better service and more flavorful food.

Cool local spot. Staff are friendly and personable. Lovely assortment of loose leaf teas. Usually packed with friendly faces and you can usually find a seat near an outlet. Great place to lock in or connect with others.

Takoma Beverage Company has a laid-back vibe with the option of indoor seating or a patio out front. We went for the outdoor setup, and with the big awning and a nice breeze, it was a comfortable spot to eat even with the temps in the mid-80s.
Food-wise, we tried the Italian Combo, a salad topped with grilled chicken, a chicken wrap, and fries. Everything came out fresh, straightforward, and tasty. The menu leans casual but still feels put together.
Overall, it is an easy place to relax, grab a bite, and enjoy a drink. Nothing over the top. Just a solid neighborhood hangout we would be glad to return to.

The Takoma Breakfast Sandwich was so yummy! I enjoyed the macchiato it was so well done it reminded me of my time in Italy and my wife who is from Italy said it reminded her of home. Well done!
I also like how they sold paintings and had a nice little bar area with very affordable beer and wine prices. I will definitely come back in the future!

Takoma Bev Co is the neighborhood gem where great coffee meets greater people. Davis serves up precision with a smile, Artur brings chill mastery to every pour, and Eli? Pure charisma, while James brings welcoming energy. The staff is jovial, the vibe is unmatched, and the drinks hit every time. Let’s not forget about those killer gluten free options. A big shout out to the back of the house for consistent great sandwiches #italiancoldcut (if you know, you know) and of course the paprika aioli-big dippers only!

We love Bev Co! The coffee and food are fantastic with lots of healthier options (shout out salmon Cobb salad, which is huge and delicious!). We appreciate that Bev Co can swing from family lunch spot to weekday office, making it our go-to spot to pop into on a weekend while visiting the farmer’s market as a family or for me to head to for a couple hours of laptop work. The staff is always friendly and helpful!

We really enjoyed this place. We tried the salmon patty slider and the stew. Both were very good. This is a quaint place with great service. You can buy wines off the shelf and consume with no cork fee. I would definitely recommend this place.

Outstanding little coffee shop serving phenomenal drinks (caffeinated, alcoholic, or just a nice treat), tasty pastries, and great vibes. This lovely little cafe is just barely over the Maryland border, a quick walk away from the Takoma Metro Station, and located along a car-less strip of historic restaurants, boutique shops, and cafes with a beautifully painted sidewalk and tons of outdoor seating. I stepped in after a long afternoon walk and was immediately warmly greeted by the friendliest staff. They walked me through the menu, pointed out some great happy hour deals, gave me solid recommendations for their favorite baked goodies, and had an impressive commitment to making sure my name was spelled and pronounced correctly for when they called out my order — a small detail that I really appreciated. My latte was phenomenal; it was rich and smooth, and the espresso had a great hint of nuttiness. At the barista’s suggestion, I also grabbed their chocolate chip cookie. It was giant and the perfect balance of chewy and crispy, with a decent amount of chocolate. It wasn’t the *best* cookie I’ve ever had, but that’s a tall order for any classic, and it was a great pairing with the latte.
I settled in for a few hours to wrap up a bit of work, and the vibes were fantastic. It wasn’t too loud, but I loved the dull buzz of conversation and background music, and there was a ton of natural lighting flooding the space. If you ever find yourself in Takoma and are in need of a place to work, read, or just hang out, highly recommend Takoma Beverage Company!
