Oh man this place left so much to be desired. We knew it was a tavern so we expected bar food (not healthy) but sometimes you hit the jackpot and get a killer burger or wings that are out of this world but…not here, not the case! We had the Mexi Skins for a starter which were not crispy and included canned jalapeños on top and were pretty tasteless and then we were then charged the full price not the happy hour price!
Never got waters for the table and my mom’s side salad didn’t come before her dinner.
Then dinner arrived and it was honestly terrible. We got wings and they were doused in sauce not crispy at all. The fish and chips were severely over done and dry a majority of it was not edible.
I don’t recommend going here nothing was great or even good.

First time in here tonight. Took some family in that’s here from out of town. Service was great! Our waitress was super friendly and very on-top of everything. The owner (I believe Bob) was extremely friendly and even checked on our table a few times. We sat on the lower level and had a great experience! Food was great we had tilapia tacos, burgers, patty melts, boys, salmon, wings, and a few appetizers that were great. We will absolutely be back. The menu here absolutely has something for everyone, it’s huge! Thanks again!!

Takoda Tavern State is such a friendly and welcoming place. The owner, Bob, is absolutely awesome—he personally greets everyone and makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. You can truly tell this is a place where people matter.
The staff is amazing as well—super friendly, always willing to interact with customers, and great to have genuine conversations with. It’s also incredibly Veteran-friendly, which makes it even more special and appreciated.
And the food… the burgers are outstanding. You can absolutely tell they’re cooked on a real grill—juicy, flavorful, and done right. Easily some of the best bar burgers around.
This has quickly become our regular go-to spot. Amazing atmosphere, great people, fantastic food—highly recommend!

Stopped here after a track and field meet at a local middle school. Staff was nice. Establishment was very clean. Food was good. We all devoured it.

This place was great! First time in there for me and it happened to be for a high school sports banquet. The manager, James is awesome and struck up a conversation with me right away and made me feel very welcome. The bartenders upstairs were also awesome. They always made sure to ask if I needed anything else. I will be back regardless. Considering having a company party there now! Highly recommended!

It was busy even though we came at 2pm, “after lunch hours”. They did seem to be understaffed, I asked and yeah our server Bailey (who was great) said the manager just had to call in more staff. Could tell the servers and bartenders were busting their butts serving and cleaning up. It was hard to tell at first who was staff as they weren’t wearing anything that marked them as such. (Like a restaurant tee). Watched the bartender (Lauren?) bus and clean tables and serve the bar, she knew her stuff!
The food was ok, burgers could have been seasoned better, tbh. But the fries were good.
It did seem that most everyone was drinking alcohol all around so I’m assuming there’s good prices for that, or it’s just a good friendly drinking place too. (I drink water at most places).

The food was good, definitely crowded so some of the orders were incorrect but we are them anyways since the servers were swamped. DESPITE ALL THE SIGNS EVERYWHERE SAYING TO KEEP YOUR CHILDREN SEATED, there were a ton of kids running around all over like a McDonald’s playplace. I felt so bad for the staff having kids run by them while they’re trying to balance a bunch of plates. 5/5 stars for Takoda. -5/5 stars for the customers that brought in their entire baseball team of kids.

Takoda’s holds a special place in my families hearts. We always receive good service and enjoy being there. Last night we had my grandpas 90th birthday celebration there. As usual the staff and owners were so sweet. Special shoutout to Lex who took fantastic care of our huge crew all night. Thank you for always being wonderful Takodas!

It turns out Bob is actually the owner. He also made sure I knew they offer a military discount on everything.
Cliffs: nice big bar, great service, awesome owner.
