Very interesting place just near the entrance to the Denali National Park. The Tacos were somewhat expensive but delicious and given the remoteness of the place perhaps the price is justified.
The Birria quesadilla was very delicious! The views are also nice.

Such a wonderful gem tucked away on the edge of the Denali National Park. It’s a steep climb up, but they have a shuttle that will pick you up if you want. Just call.
The food is a wonderful fusion of Mexican flavors and Alaskan ingredients. The Queso Fundido with Alaskan Yak Chorizo is a glorious combination of spices, cheese, and yak. It’s a must try appetizer! The Beef Birria Quesadilla is scrumptious with just the right amount of cilantro and pickled onions on the side. Each of the other tacos are simply on point.
The full service bar has a nice selection of canned/bottled and draft beers, as well as a great selection of spirits.
During our meal, we were able to watch the train across the valley, view the spectacular mountains, and enjoy the Alaskan countryside.
If I ever make it back to Denali, I will make a point to climb the hill for Taco Tuesday! Thank you, Juan and Selko!

I had the pollo and carnitas tacos (amazing) rice and beans (skip it) and churros with 50/50 sauce (spicy chocolate, not spicy but so good; and dulce de leche). We miss the old place but this is faster and equally delicious. Staff were so nice and the PALOMA was delicious. The churros though yummmmmm. I think the menu is a working one so subject to change.

What a hidden gem! I happened upon this spot, right on the center of town but up the gravel road hill. Walk or drive, it’s easy to find. The tacos are freakin’ amazing. I’m from LA and I love a good taco. The bar has some good and creative offerings. Ask for fresh lime juice in the house margarita to really make it pop! Staff are warm and friendly. I think we’ll stop in again tomorrow. Bonus – the bar is open until 12am, there’s a deck with a beautiful view as well.

Great lunch spot near Denali! We weren’t sure what to expect, but tAKo Alaskan Cantina really surprised us — creative tacos with fresh, bold flavors and a unique mix of Alaskan and Mexican ingredients. The elk and rock fish tacos were standouts, and the surf & turf was excellent too. Fun location with great views and a cozy vibe. Friendly service and a solid margarita didn’t hurt either. Definitely worth the stair climb!

Ordered a birria quesadilla. Received 2 birria tacos. I called and was told they use tacos and call them quesadillas. Beef wasn’t shredded enough, so expect chunks of beef. Consomme was nothing special. Tasted like beef was cooked in a crock pot.

Much difference from years ago..I had the quesa birria and carnitas. Not what I expected, but not bad.All of the salsa on the condiment cart were HOT. Which was a bummer,I was hoping for a green salsa verde type but no.Menu prices were reasonable for food. Drinks were pricey and I was hoping for a modelo dark or dos equis amber? Only original lager. The atmosphere is festive and the outdoor setup is spectacular.

This place is amazing! I came a little before 11 to get some last minute food and sat at the bar. I got recommended 3 fantastic tacos by Cabe and got a beer! I was also given a sample of the frozen margarita!

Expensive but pretty decent food. They have vegetarian chorizo and Yams Taco. Drinks were ok and expensive. Overall decent if you’re tired of burgers and fries. The chef was super accommodating.. Tacos tasted very good.

Great food and service. The tortilla soup warmed me up on a cold day and where else can you you get a Halibut taco and an Elk taco???? Don’t worry, you’re not drunk – it’s the entire floor that’s tilted and helps give it its great charm …
