Been wanting to try this place for a while now. The margarita flight was fun and were all very tasty. The table salsa was pretty mild would have liked a little more of a flavor kick but we mixed it in the queso and it was much better. The barbacoa chimmi was a bit on the dry side (hopefully it was a fluke and not the norm) however the grilled birria wrap was very good. Prices were very reasonable and the service was great. The menu had lots of variety. The restaurant was very clean and maintained well. There is plenty of seating and parking. We’ll definitely be back to try other menu items.

What a surprise!!!
I was in town for work, and found this gem!!! Driving thru Oshkosh ma a little bit difficult to exit and explore the city, this place was next to my hotel, lucky me, at first sight the menu was looking to good to be true, I was expecting one more Mexican place designed for non Mexican costumers, came 3 days in a row and every single bite was bringing the taste of the motherland, was a nice experience how the ingredients, the cooking and the presentation in your plate get together to bringing you close to the experience of Mexican home cooking, very wide menu, big enough to find a good option even if you are only looking for a bite, but also small enough to keep the good quality and the freshness I found in my visits, the salsas have the right amount of heat to try it the second time, not burning, not plain flavor, but also very flavorful, good fit for your meal if you want to give a small twist to it, chips and salsa are complementary, excellent service… I wish I could put some of the aromas coming from my plate, but it’s not possible just pics, I hope you can have the same experience I had… next time in town, I’ll be back!!!

We were in Oshkosh for business and randomly chose this spot for lunch based on Google reviews. I am so glad we did. The reviews absolutely did not lie. This place delivers great food at a great price, and it is the kind of find that makes you feel like you struck gold on a random weekday.

When we pulled up and saw the sign highlighting their handmade corn tortillas, I was immediately intrigued. I have been searching all over the Green Bay, Appleton, and Wausau areas for years trying to find truly good handmade corn tortillas, and I have consistently come up empty. These were the real deal. Soft, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can taste the difference right away.

I ordered the Al Pastor, Lengua, and Pollo Asado tacos. All three were solid, but the Al Pastor and Lengua were absolute standouts.

The Al Pastor had the perfect balance of savory and slightly sweet, with great seasoning and tenderness. The Lengua was incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. It was tender without being greasy. If I had to rank them, the Pollo Asado would come in third, but only because the other two were so good.

For a moment, I was transported back to a small back lot taco stand in Central America. Simple, authentic, and packed with flavor. The refried beans were delicious and tasted homemade. The rice and salsa were more on the basic side. Next time we may ask if they have a spicier salsa option.

Whether you are craving Tex Mex comfort or something more traditional and authentic, this place delivers. We will absolutely be back.

I have tried several Mexican restaurants in WI, hard to find a good one. The food here is amazing. The tacos are delicious, their handmade tortillas are what make it great. The teleras are amazing too. The bread is crunchy and delicious. The different salsas are great. This restaurant is a far drive from me, but definitely worth the long drive. The only complaint a have is that there are no napkin dispensers at the table, had to kept asking for more. As well as ketchup, they did not give us a bottle, but a small portion. I get wanting to limit the proportions, but having to keep asking for more is annoying. Otherwise, 10/10.

My boyfriend and I have always loved takiza! We have been frequent customers since they were at the smaller location. We were so happy that they were able to get a bigger spot! Everytime we go we are greeted like family. The wait staff is always very professional, efficient, and welcoming. The wait staff is attentive but not over bearing. They have great deals on their lunch menu and even give out punch cards for lunch to receive 50% off on a meal after so many lunch visits. They have awesome drink specials all week long as well. You can tell the food is fresh and authentic. They make their corn tortillas daily and are the best we have ever had. The portions are big and always have me waddling out of there or unbuttoning my pants just to get another bite down. Their salsa is complimentary and always super fresh. They have a special takiza seasoning at the table and I recommend you sprinkle some on your chips. Everything is delicious but I have to shout out their enchiladas, barria, and the fajita platter. Me and my boyfriend will just drink the consume like a soup once the birria tacos are all gone. The enchiladas are made with their fresh daily corn tortillas and are unlike no other enchiladas I have ever had. The fajita platter is huge and the seasoning on the meat is perfect and so delicious!! A lot of places you can tell don’t season their meat. I do recommend getting Barbacoa for your tacos. It is a dollar up charge but that doesn’t matter because the meat is so tender and packed with flavor! We love takiza and whenever we want a flavor of Mexico there is no question on where to go! Hands down best Mexican restaurant in Oshkosh.

I ordered the burrito bowl with shredded beef and the plate looks and tastes amazing.
This is one of very few mexican restaurants that serve calamari, which is a favorite of ours, I think they have the best tasting calamari.
The service is excellent and employees are outstanding.

We used Takiza for our son’s grad party and couldn’t be happier! The food was absolutely delicious—everyone at the party raved about it! From start to finish, the communication and service were top notch. They made the entire process so easy and provided everything we needed for a flawless taco buffet. We were blown away by how much food we got for the price—it was generous, flavorful, and perfect for our event. Highly recommend for any event or gathering. Thank you, Takiza, for helping to make our celebration so memorable.

Really enjoyed our visit to Takiza. The food was really good and the prices were comparable to other similar restaurants. We came for supper and the food was super fast. The meat was really tender in both the steak tacos and the California Burrito. I wouldn’t normally order something like the California burrito, having French fries inside, but I really enjoyed it. The menu has so many options it was really difficult to choose what to order.

I guess I will have to return and try other new things. The salsa was really good. That tends to be a point of contention between similar restaurants and it was excellent at Takiza. I think this restaurant is in a previous Italian restaurant. Would be nice if they updated the style a little bit more to feel like a Mexican restaurant but with how good the food was, that is just being nit-picky.
