Very nice little place, I’d go here more often if I was downtown more often (and who knows, maybe I will be depending on how my job goes). Fair prices and VERY friendly service, very nice. The place is clean too. The food is good, though my only complaint is that it’s standard Greek fare you can get at any similar restaurant.

Upon receipt of our check, we learned that the prices charged were well in excess of what was printed on the menu, nor on the restaurant’s website.
The clerk at the counter was rude to other customers when we walked in, but we did not know the cause and justification.
While checking out, the same clerk was abusive and belligerent with us. It was a little crazy.
I was with a group of 5, who all needed individual receipts for business. The clerk refused to do so.
Not a friendly place and the food was just acceptable.
Pass this place by.

The staff is super nice, the food excellent, the prices so low I worry about their bottom line, and the atmosphere charming.
They even accommodated me when I showed up 5 minutes before they closed up–didn’t realize they were scheduled to close at 2pm, but they kept inviting people in. I asked about the closing time, they said they “just kind of wing it” each day. When people stop showing up, they close.
Love this place! Totally going here whenever I’m downtown.

The owner, manager, or whatever the terrible human behind the counter may be, singlehandedly created one of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had, and I have lived in and traveled to more than forty countries. She told our entire table that she did not want bar candidates at her restaurant and wished they would “stay away.” All four of us heard her, and so did half the restaurant.
This began when she claimed that their prices were low because she charges extra for tzatziki. Dear reader, we ordered chicken souvlaki, which everywhere in the world comes with tzatziki, yet we were billed an additional $1.15 for a cup of less than two ounces. Did she mention there would be an extra charge, which we would have gladly paid? No, she did not. Instead, she huffed and puffed about keeping her prices low while using hidden nickel and dime tactics.
Then this person actually came outside and claimed my friend had apologized for me after I told her and the entire restaurant that I had never seen anyone behave the way she had. I strongly recommend staying far away from this place and from the horrible, sad human being behind the counter.

I asked the owner to make me something that was not on the menu. I ordered the Lemon Soup of course with my order of a grilled pita stuffed with feta and spinach with a side of tzatziki.
I order this all the time and noone gets it correct so needless to say this was the most delicious grilled pita I have ever had. The ingredients were so fresh, the soup and tzatziki were the best I ever had.

Taki’s was such a welcoming environment for someone traveling from Florida. Amazing food, service, and experience overall. The gyro and feta omelet is especially good!

Visiting Buffalo, we showed up 8:45 not knowing that the restaurant did not open until 9:00. The owner saw us and came out and said we could come in and wait as he got some coffee going or we could come back. We decided to come in and plan our day while we waited for the coffee.
Super friendly and hospitable. Food was reasonably priced and very tasty.
