If you don’t know, you better ask somebody! This place is no joke. Excellent and very friendly customer service. The fish is fresh and they cook everything only after you order. The food was hot and it was so good. The fish was good! The onion rings were good! And guess what? The lemonade was so good that there is no better way to finish off the meal than to have this lemonade! Go here and then spread the word!

This establishment is a hidden gem. If you blink you may miss it driving on Griffin Street, but, you would be amiss too. We are here for the first time Friday night. I was a bit apprehensive because I didn’t know whether cooked items from a fish market would be any good. First of all Tiffany who took my order was an Angel. She helped navigate me through the seafood choices on the menu. We settled on the Red snapper both grilled and Steamed. The fish was fresh and was cooked perfectly. It had nice seasoning and didn’t taste fishy at all. The sides were also good and very affordable. Tiffany also set me up with their fresh squeezed lemonade which perfectly complemented the fish. This was a great first experience and we will definitely be returning to try new menu items again. Thank you again Ms. Tiffany.

I tried to support the small business, Take Me 2 The River Fresh Seafood Market in the McDonough, GA area. I told the employee I wanted “FRESH” catfish fillets since I didn’t see any in the seafood case. She told me she had fresh fillets in the back. She gave me FROZEN catfish fillets! (They are thawing out as I write this review.) I told the employee I wanted my money back since I told her initially that I wanted fresh and not frozen fillets. The employee told me after I had paid that she couldn’t take them back. She then told me they only come frozen and you can’t buy them fresh. I should have gone to Publix’s and I would have paid less and gotten fresh catfish fillets. I won’t be deceived again—buyer beware!

I’ve visited this spot on 3 separate occasions and each time I’ve enjoyed the food and service. The fish has been fresh and fried perfectly each time. The staff no matter who waits on me, has been great as well. I will definitely be returning. Kudos to the owner.

This evening was my first visit, didn’t know they were there. The food was so good and fresh. I had steamed red snapper with corn and potatoes, also fried striped bass. When l got home, l stood up eating, couldn’t stop eating to sit down!!! The decor and staff are nice! Place is clean!

Food was delish but got home and realized I was charged for 3pc tilapia and 3pc bream but only received 2pcs each. I believe the lady that rang up my order was new so I should have checked my order prior to leaving the store.
