Have passed this place a couple of times on my way home from work when I’m exhausted too tired to cook. Finally decided to turn off highway 17 in FLeming Island rush hour traffic to check it out.
If you’re tired of the same ol’ same old drive-through fast food and you want homestyle comfort food this is definitely the place for you! I got two entrées, the smothered pork chop and the shepherds pie because I thought I’d eat one for dinner and save the other for lunch tomorrow, but the portions were so big that I tried a little bit of everything, (sides: a gratin potatoes, mashed potatoes, zucchini soufflé, and cabbage casserole), and still have enough leftover for not one, not two but three meals! Norma at the front counter was very pleasant and I suggested I try the swamp soup. I got a little, but I haven’t tried it yet because I’m still stuffed from my meals. I also got the banana pudding but I haven’t tried that yet. I know people may say it’s a little bland, but it’s homestyle comfort food and if it’s family food like grandma used to make with love, she would take into consideration their Heath and dietary needs and you don’t put a lot of salt seasoning on it which is fine because you can doctor it up when you get home. Will definitely be trying other entrées in the future.

The staff was very friendly!! ordered online and picked up my food inside, it was already ready to go when I got there and still hot by the time I got home! So much food and so yummy!! Great option to have when you want the taste of home-made food but don’t want to cook! Unfortunately our swamp stew tipped over and all the liquid spilled out but the sausage in it was amazing and the beans still had so much flavor. The gravy from my meal spilled all over the squash (again, my fault!) but still so good! Will definitely be back!!!!

We ordered lunch for the office. 16 people. It was amazing!! Everyone was very happy. Most of us have leftovers for tomorrow. Our favorites are baked chicken, sticky chicken, and the zucchini casserole. We will order again! Thank you Daniel. All our lunches were labeled well and 100% accurate.

How do you mess spaghetti up so badly? I could have gone to Walmart across the street and bought it in a can and it would have tasted 10X better. No wonder there were only 2 cars there. Those 2 cars were the 2 workers. Will never return.

Small business front, No dine in just carry out. Setting for a few people while you wait on your To go meal. Food had great flavor, and a really good quantity for the price. Definitely a do over.

I have purchased food at Take-Away-Buffet, on several occasions. Each time I have been greeted by a very friendly and informative staff. I understand all the foods are cooked daily by what appears to be an all male staff, and Daniel Flores is the. Initial reason I went back a second time. Plus, the food is delicious, there are multiple choices, economically priced, and can provide meals for single, families and catering events. ( if large groups (2) week placed orders are needed)! And the cake bites are decadently delicious and alone is worth going to Take-Away-Buffet!

There are so many things wrong with the food at this place!! This will be the ONLY time I have food from here. The food LITERALLY made me sick, just minutes after eating a couple bites.

For a family owned business, they need to rethink their recipes. The have NO flavor at all, hospital food has more flavor than this. The mac n cheese is grainy, the chicken was not fresh, pot roast had no veggies or anything like pictured on their website. And whoever is writing all those positive reviews clearly needs their head examined. Im sorry, im all for supporting local businesses but this business needs to close down before they make more people sick from their bland grainy food.
Also, for you to be considered a buffet, their needs to be a buffet there to begin with!!! False advertising!!!

WHAT HAPPENED!?!?!? We used to get our Friday night dinners there, but all of a sudden since Fourth of July weekend they are closing earlier, and not open during prime eating times. We stopped by tonight at 6pm, and loud music was playing in the back with no response at the front. DONE, NO MORE!!!

Amazing! That is about all I can say. I have not been in the restaurant yet but, I have gotten several deliveries and it is worth every penny and more. The breakfast sliders were very good. Just hit the spot when I got them. But, where they really shine is their boxes for lunch. The flavors of their entrees is utterly fantastic. Their sides choices are incredible and eclectic. I highly recommend the Swamp Soup and the Cabbage Casserole but it is all amazing. Enough food that I had enough for a meatloaf sandwich later. That is the way I rate meatloaf is if it makes a great sandwich later. Maybe a little weird but, It does. Great job guys! Keep it up!
