Bad experience: Don’t ever think of going to this this restaurant in Belfast UK. The Indian male managers and the Indian male owner especially are very rude and have no manners at all to talk to a woman ! I had politely asked an Indian female staff at the this restaurant, Belfast, if they serve food to guests, she said that they do not serve food to guests, and I said: That’s okay, no problem and then I myself served food on my plate. Then a rude male manager who supposedly has worked in this restaurant for the last 20 years comes to my table and interrogates me aggressively and says to me that: you don’t have etiquette, why did you ask my staff if they serve food. I told him that he should not speak to a woman so rudely, and I told him that I asked the female staff because some of the best restaurants do serve food to guests, and what is the problem if I just politely ask their female staff if they serve food? I also told him that my family and I have been to the best chef restaurant, Bungalow in New York, and there are many other restaurants in the world that serve food humbly to guests. You can see the google review of Bungalow, where the guests themselves have mentioned that the best chef, himself humbly serves food to guests. The Archana restaurant manager argued arrogantly that no one serves food to guests in any restaurant, which is not true. Then, the same female staff member whom I asked politely came again to my table and apologized for the mistake and rudeness of the male staff at this restaurant.

Next, the owner of this restaurant, Belfast came to my table to interrogate further, and he was also very rude and disrespectful, and aggressive. The owner also told me the same things rudely. I told him that I am uncomfortable with the interrogation further. Thus, women should avoid going to this restaurant as it’s a bad experience! Some Indian Men will never disappoint at disappointing! The lady female staff still apologized for the mistake of their manager’s/male staff’s rudeness, but Indian men at this restaurant still don’t have any etiquette! If you want to spoil your evening, then go there! The worst part was that the owner of this restaurant who blocked my way and did not let me use the washroom/toilet once we paid the bill. Once he got the money, he did not bother about a woman’s need to go to the washroom/toilet and just rudely asked us to leave. The owner practiced unlawful practices by restricting access to toilet facilities, which are a basic right of the services offered to customers or the restaurant’s guests. We also told him that this arrogance he had we will make sure we never visit again, and also we will make sure that the 100s of Indian and global friends we have in Belfast or otherwise will also never visit them. And also, Indians and global citizens don’t think of going there! Kabhi mat Jana if you value self-respect! Thanks, Indians and global citizens, for understanding! God has witnessed everything that happened and the arrogance of the manager and the owner showed clearly. God also does not let anyone with so much arrogance progress at all! This is a real incident, and now if I receive any denial response for this bad review, then be assured that they are lying, as this restaurant’s female staff has already apologized to me for the bad manners of their male staff and the owner. Worst experience at this Restaurant, Belfast. What a waste of time, money, and evening!

What a great find and a superb meal in what felt a very authentic curry house.

The staff were very attentive and the place had a real buzz for a mid week dining experience. You need to book as they were soon full and having to turn people away.

All the meals delivered to the table were spiced perfectly for our taste.

Would certainly recommend if you are in Belfast and looking for a curry

The Achari chicken was overly sweet, and the gravy tasted more like tomato sauce than authentic achari gravy. I was very disappointed with my order and expected much better.

Great curry, lovely staff, good value – it was very quiet when we ate (a cold, wet January Friday), but it’s not a big place so would recommend booking just in case. Everything we ordered was quality – would recommend.

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant due to misleading and unprofessional practices. The menu displayed outside shows lower prices, but once you’re seated, the staff provides a different menu with noticeably higher prices. When questioned, they simply say the outside menu is “old” and hasn’t been updated — an excuse that feels unacceptable.

On top of that, we spent £32 on two horrible biryanis for takeaway, and they didn’t even bother to include cutlery. They just handed over the food in a bag. How do they expect customers to eat — with their hands and wipe on their clothes?

Unfortunately, this isn’t an isolated incident; many Indian restaurants in the area seem to follow the same cheap tricks, which creates frustration and distrust.

Restaurants should be transparent with pricing and show basic professionalism by providing proper packaging and cutlery. It’s the least they can do to maintain customer trust.

I stayed for 2 days in Belfast and both days we went for dinner here. Ambiance is great and I really liked the food. Staff is pretty friendly. Service is quick. Food is pretty close to Indian taste. A must visit if you are looking for authentic Indian cuisine. Just a suggestion to have some desert options available from the menu.
I truly recommend people to try out this place.

Whether you live in Belfast or are a tourist passing by, I promise that you will find truly divine traditional indian food here. I had the Evening Thali for One (Spiciness Hot) alongside a Mango Lassi for my drink. As someone who has tried tons of indian cuisine, I can assure you this is some of the finest there is
